I'm from Phoenix... I can deal with indoor temps about 5F hotter than most folks from elsewhere. Being skinny helps. HOWEVER, before they moved my cube to another section of the building, I had to wear a jacket and a wool cap in the summer 'cos I was right under a vent.
We had an auditor in this week in a full suit: undershirt, dress shirt and suit coat... in DALLAS... in the SUMMER. Yep, we had to drop the AC in the room he was in to around 70F so he wasn't sweating. I had to wear long-sleeve shirts 'cos I was stuck with him for three days. Stupidly, HE'S FROM HERE: he lives up just south of the Red River. He KNOWS that it's too effing hot for a suit in the summer, and nobody in this town requires them, normally. This isn't the East Coast where suits are common.
I don't even own a suit; the next time I'll need one is at my own funeral, and I'd rather be buried or burned in shorts, sandals and a Hawaiian shirt. I might as well go in comfort!
