I upset my wonderful wife.  She has Aspergers which often causes problems in our communication.  Most of the time I let the way she reacts or things she say roll right off.  But every once in a while it gets to me and I get irritated and tell her about herself.  Today was a bad day and it happened a few times.  When I went to bring her dinner she had climbed under the covers and turned off all the lights.  I feel like a total piece of crap.  Life goes on.

Speaking of missing Jules should be back from her trip
Uh oh. She was in Bourbon country. Wonder how many bottles her RV can hold.

15 bottles so far, but I can fit a lot more.  Dan has taken advantage of my consumption.
But the kids are with us now.  Playtime will be limited until we get to the Florida Keys, out of the RV, into the rental. 3 more days until then.  Tan is coming along though.

Actually, it's been going on for a while now.  Elon Musk becoming an asshole.  I used to really admire him because I felt his push to space was more than just about money.  I really thought he wanted to make things better and make a positive name for himself in the history books.  Now I think he'll be in the history books but for all the wrong reasons.  Maybe his current actions will lead to something great but I doubt it.  You don't do great things by shitting all over people.

He’s a fucking fascist. Mr. Blood Emeralds. Should we really be surprised?

And here is the amazing thing about it all. Most of his wealth has been made by Tesla. Most of the people who patronize Tesla are well educated progressives, who believe in alternate energy sources. He has totally destroyed the brand in a single year. Because he is alienating the people that are willing to spend that kind of money for an EV. Government subsidies and incentives are ending. Market share is eroding.

At the rate he is going, he is going to end up like Sam Bankman-Fried.

Thinking about the type of people that would be the biggest supporters of banning someone from CNN or the New York Times, I wonder if Elon Musk - R is planning on running for political office?

My wife and I are both on disability and receive Social Security.  The great news is SS recipients got a whopping 8% increase in our cost of living increase.  That was great.  It's not like a raise for those that don't know how it works.  You can't buy more things than you could before, but since prices have risen so drastically, with that kind of increase you should be able to buy the same as before.  Unfortunately, the increase raised our monthly income enough to knock off other benefit programs, like food stamps.  So the $300 a month increase between us was awesome, but we lost like $400 in other benefits so doing the math we are now $100 below where we were before the increase.  Now truthfully, I am not really complaining.  There are others that have it far worse than we do. This simply illustrates the short-sighted thinking on capital hill.  "Hey, lets' give SS recipients a big increase this year.  It'll make us look like heroes."  Even before the reality hit, everyone was all excited about the big increase.  My wife was standing off stage going, "Uh wait a minute, you know what this really means is we're all gonna get fucked."  She's a regular basket of cheer that one.  The problem is she is right an annoying amount of the time.

My best friend has been in the hospital since October 1st with a broken hip that just won't heal. About month ago they had to do a second surgery. The ball part of the hip won't stay in the socket. Today they are going to put him under and try to pop it back in without doing surgery. If that doesn't work they plan to wake him up and move him to a local hospital to see what they can do.

Meanwhile his wife who's worn herself out visiting him, dealing with his doctors and even doing a video tour of their home with the occupational therapist for his hopeful return home, ended up with heart problems. She required a pacemaker and that still isn't working so their adding medication. She got out of the hospital yesterday.

I'm standing by to do what I can to help. She won't make it to the hospital today to see hubby so I'm planning on braving the cold to check on him. He's in early stages of dementia so we don't know how much he understands about his situation or his wife's heart problems.

Bob, don’t take this the wrong way, but it is subzero weather outside, there is frozen precipitation all over the place, you’re 77 years old and not in particularly good health yourself. So what could go wrong? You do not need to get out and drive to the hospital today to visit a friend with dementia. I hope you’re staying inside where it’s warm and let things take care of themselves. Don’t make me come over there and take away your keys.

Good advice from PH.  Don't endanger yourself, Bob.

Thanks for the care and concern. I have to go out anyway for a few groceries to get us through the weekend. The VA and grocery are just a few blocks away.

As I mentioned he's in early stages of dementia and knows me and remembers a lot. He is getting confused about his medical care and now his wife isn't there to help.

I’m not worried about you Bob. I know you can handle the cold weather. I am more concerned about those idiots in Minnesota who think they can drive 60 miles an hour on ice. And it always seems to be earlier in the season when you see those accidents happening. I can tell you’re going to go out anyway. But I can’t help but worry. It’s what friends do.

He's right and you know it Bob. Ive got that same crap here. "Im from Wisconsin and have a big truck and snow wont slow me down." They ride your ass in the right lane and speed passed in drifting snow.  The most dangerous thing on the roads dyring bad wearher is other drivers. Im sorry to hear about your friends, but we want you safe.  That being said, i know that if it is absolutely necessary, then no amount of pleading will stop a stubborn man. Just be safe, love :emot_kiss:

This is horrid weather. Windy and crappy. My car getting tossed all over the road. All wheel drive and newish tires is no match for mother nature, amd she sure is being a bitch today.  But... at least ive got my heated seats.  Have i ever mentioned that i love my heated seats?

What ruined my day......not visiting here enough lately.
Hope every one is doing good.
I will catch up on posts later. Busy 24/7 right now with family.  We are all tired because of a long day on the water.
Enjoying the sun.  Enjoying the water.  Enjoying fishing.
Missing you all but not missing the snow that Michigan is getting.

First woo. Because I love the thought of keeping your delightful sexy butt warm. I went to the grocery store. We don’t have snow or ice yet. But the wind is howling and the windchill factor is 10°F. And I was bundled up. But I swear I was absolutely shivering by the time I got the groceries in the house. Enjoying a decaf latte now. Trying to stay warm. I need a butt warmer too.

Ok. Home safe and sound. Streets in the city are in good condition. They (Weather people) over do the wind chill temps. With all the houses and trees in the city there's not that much wind. Yet the winds are measured in the open at the airport on top of a high tower. Yet the fear factor the media tries to create makes it more fun to exaggerate.

Agreed there's still the idiots out there. The guy who T-boned me ran a red light and hit me while on dry pavement. There's nothing really safe anymore except to pull a blanket over your head.

Still I appreciate all the care and concern. Stubborn...who me. :emot_laughing

Glad to hear it, Bob.

As we only get snow occasionally in the south east of the UK we act like complete idiots and don't have the infrastructure to cope with it.  My pet hate is when idiots follow you up an incline nose to tail - one gets stuck we all get stuck.  "Wait at the bottom you cretin until the car in front makes it to the top"

I personally have never referred to them that way, but there have been several times ive had the urge to lean foward and bite my steering wheel. Usually when I'm on my way to get some fantastic dick!

Yes my car seat does have a distinct stain in a specific spot. Upholstery cleaner is no match.

Too much information, but I was watching football yesterday, and ordered KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) from Uber.

Enjoyed my lunch (Houston won), then suddenly started to feel bad, dizzy, nauseous, you name it. I was hallucinating, vomiting, trying to desperately keep it together, but passed out and woke up drenched in sweat in a pool of my own urine on the floor.

This was far worse than food poisoning. I think the food was drugged. Took about three hours of shivering under a blanket with Gatorade (after mopping and a shower) to feel better. Today I am fine.

I will never eat KFC again.
