KB going down today.

Just hopped on for a minute to see if it was back up.  Making a late dinner.

Yes, no KB, just a blank screen certainly put a kink in my day. Glad to have you all back.

Princess, would you like to see it light up and hum when I wave it about

Yep.  Safari wouldn't show an error message but Chrome showed an HTTP 500 error.  Generic error, which means it could be one of a hundred different things.  I'll blame gremlins.

I got a message saying Kristensboard Cannot perform this task or something along that line. Thought it was a problem with my wifi at first.

I tried 3 times yesterday. First time -- blank screen. Second time, got a header in the address bar of Safari. Third time was a charm.

That is all.

I can’t tell you how many times they have left the stove top or oven on, and filled the house with smoke. It’s just a disaster looking for a place to happen.

As if to prove my point, my son woke me up at 7:30 this morning with a phone call to advise that the ICSO had left something burning on the stove, and filled the house with smoke, setting off the alarm. And she eats a lot of strange things, so usually it’s a fish odor, liver, or some form of pork offal.

Hypoglycemia overnight. 52 ml/Dl read this a.m. Woke up drenched in sweat. Debating if I want to go into office or not. May just work from home.

Why would this even be up for debate. If you can get the work done from home, then stay home and drink your orange juice  :emot_kiss:

My young boss spends 1/3 to half of his time each year at a little villa he maintains in New Orleans. So he is gone for the month of November. He asked me to keep an eye on the office in his absence. I’m sort of the stable mare. I am the fellow with gray hair that keeps all the youngsters from killing each other. So I feel guilty if I don’t go to the office. So 20th Century of me.

For shame... actually caring how the office runs.

It's a sad commentary on how some younger persons look at work. At the same time you have to take care of yourself. Stay home and get the blood in the office cleaned up later  :emot_laughing:

As to Shiela's advice on drinking OK...just keep your mitts off the Vodka. ;D

Harvey F'N Weinstein

News article I read.....

Jennifer Siebel Newsom — wife of California Gov. Gavin Newsom — sobbed as she described Harvey Weinstein’s “distorted” and “fish-like” genitals during her bombshell testimony at the disgraced movie producer’s sexual assault trial Monday.
Identified in court at Jane Doe 4, Siebel Newsom broke down in tears recounting how Weinstein allegedly raped her in 2005 at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills.

"distorted and fish-like genitals".  That is one terrible image. But it fits well with the sick person he is.

This could turn into a What Made My Day, but right now I'm very stressed.

Trying to get Taylor Swift tickets for her June shows in Detroit.  Ticketmaster, be kind to me please.  Also the radio station is giving tickets to one caller each hour.  Struck out in the 9:00 hour.

Radio silence from me for the next 20 minutes.

**updat...struck out in the radio call-in opportunity in the 10 o'clock hour
Sitting in the Ticketmaster queue.  2000+ in front of me.  I hate trying to get concert tickets.  I need them to Xmas.  Me and the three girls are all huge Swifties.

I was watching a movie the other day and Weinstein Productions rolled up on the opening credits. Seriously affected my ability to enjoy the film. Sad for the artists who were harassed and abused by him, and sad for the body of work his evil has forever tainted.

Same for me with the British comedian Peter Kay.  He went into semi-retirement but just announced his first tour for 12 years.  Unbelievably, tickets for 110 performances spread over 2 years sold out in less than an hour. I wasn't one of the lucky ones; when I first joined the queue there were 40,000 in front of me.  Scalpers (touts to us) asking £1000 within minutes of the sale.

Trump announcing he will be running for president, which means two years of hatred being spewed across the airwaves. Ugh.

This is hardly an original assertion, but I think the biggest takeaway from the midterms is that Trump's hold on the GOP is on the wane. The fact that the Republicans failed to re-take the Senate can be laid directly at Trump's feet, and in a very real, Trump's strong endorsement contributed to the GOP losses.

The Republicans will inevitably impeach Biden when the new session begins in early January, and when they do, the Senate will as inevitably vote to acquit him by a fairly large margin. This will only serve to further marginalize the GOP, and push voters toward the Democrats in the 2024 elections.

On top of that, I fearlessly predict that once the primaries begin in early 2024 and he begins to lose primaries and caucuses, Trump's ego is too big to stay in the race beyond Super Tuesday, and he'll either "suspend" his campaign, or announce a third party run. And Trump running as a third-party candidate is one the of the best things Democrats can hope for.

Watcher's right: It means two more years of Trump bullshit, name-calling, and hatred-spewing. But that could prove an ironic positive to "undecided" voters.

That's why it's kind of making my day, though I totally understand Rick's concern as well :)

Ditto on all the hopes that the American people are tired of Trump and his followers. They do make a lot of noise and there is so much hate out there that needs to be quenched with reason and calm. Fingers crossed.

Second day bummer. My friend with broken hip problem is going nuts.  Guess he's telling rehab people to fuck off. His doctor said if he keeps that up their shipping him off to a nursing home. His wife walked out on him yesterday.
Now he's calling 911 saying he's being held hostage.

If that's the case it's not a hard thing to accomplish as he can't walk.

His brother is to visit today and tomorrow is my turn. Hope that helps snap him back to reality.
