As for time change, Baja California Sur switched last week (last weekend in October) and will not be springing forward ever again. Mexico, as a country, is now on permanent standard time with the exception of some border cities and the state of Quintana Roo. The border cities (Tijuana, Mexicali, etc) will continue to mark the time changes of the bordering US state. Quintana Roo has been and will continue to observe Eastern Standard Time in deference to the tourists in Playa del Carmen, Cancun, Isla Mujeres, etc.
The fact that I've changed the clock in my vehicle for the last time makes me happy (even though it is incredibly easy to do).
