Give Allen his space Shiela.  I love fireworks and my cat isn't bothered by them.  But I'd gladly forgo them for the many Veterans who suffer from hearing those booms, evoking bad memories.

I definitely am. I know what he going through at least to an extent. I have my moments as well, but it has to be a specific firework. Little firecrackers dont really bother me, but if it has a big enough boom when I'm not expecting it, I'll jump in my skin, but I consider myself lucky that it doesnt effect me more. Four years instead of just two may be a factor as well.

I send him a text asking how hes holding up, and resisting the urge to send descriptions and or pics of my late night lake trips.

Last year I was able to distract myself with Ben's massive dick in my mouth, thought maybe it would be similar this year.

Maybe it's time to retrain his brain to associate the sound of fireworks with something positive. What if you're playing with his artillery piece when the fireworks go off? Try to make his 'explosion' coincide with a fireworks explosion.  :emot_kiss:

The only downside might be that he'll start to get an instant hardon whenever he hears a loud bang in the future  :emot_laughing:

I caught a nasty little summer cold. I crept up on me yesterday, and this morning my sinuses are horrible, and I'm all phlegmy. I went to bed super early last night,  and I'm in no mood to get up any time soon. I dont even want to get up to get coffee.

I finally got up to get some coffee. Figured the caffeine will help with the growing headache. It is currently 74° in my apartment and I'm wearing sweatpants, hoodie and a blanket. I'm gonna sweat this thing out of me.

Hope you both feel better.

I have summer allergies.  Pretty much from June 1 thru mid July. 
Nose constantly running.  Some days worse than others.  Sometimes it doesn't want to run BUT I get a headache.

I do hope that you feel better soon. Many moons ago (in the early '80s) my grandmother and mother came to visit me while I was serving in San Diego. Granny came down with a cold/flu within the first day or so she was there. So, I helped relieve her symptoms with my version of Spanish Coffee -- 1/2 teaspoon of sugar, 1 ounce of good brandy, 1 ounce of Kaluha and coffee to fill. Whipped cream on top with a little added drizzle of Kaluha. That seemed to relieve the symptoms. Either that or being half snapped for the week helped just enough for her to enjoy the sight seeing that we did.

I don't have kaluha or brandy, but I've got baileys and tequila... what would that be? Mexican coffee?

I'm sure CT could come up with something involving baileys cream liquor...

Stayed in bed most of the evening and night. Both dad and Allan called told them both to stay away. Told dad I'll be fine and I dont want him getting sick. Told Allan he can kiss my ass, and hung up on him.

My sinuses are sore, and I'm all kinds of stuffed up. Drinking coffee actually hurts but I keep.doing it because I feel like I'm punishing my sinuses... I know stupid, but its helping me cope, lol. I Called in sick so I wont even be around cute little fuzzy, furry, buddies.

I feel 100% better today. Most of my secondary symptoms are easing with a little Sudafed. I have a Covid test scheduled for noon. I pray it’s negative.

Made it to the track at 11:15.  I don't like to run when the sun is up that high unless it's below 75.  We'll, it was 85 and full sun and I was dying.  Planned on 3, but stopped at 2, then I did each aisle (10) of bleachers (40 rows). I didn't rush it, just "little train"'d it.
M was done after 15 minutes and found shade.  I told her 8am or earlier from now on, if she's not ready, I'm leaving without her.
