When you know the holidays start from the next day, it's okay to stay up late, and sleep in, the following day
So I did. Went to bed after quarter past 1, then stayed up there only, curled in the blanket, using my phone for another 40 minutes,
(Before CT makes any innuendos, NOT for that kind of stuff...ish, (can't remember as what happened afterwards, made me forget it.))
Finally, went to sleep around 2, my heated phone near my head, plus my tablet on the bed stand above my head, charging (had planned to use it as well, but was too tired to do so in the end.) Fast Forward to 7:20 in the morning, woke up with a really nasty headache. Apparently all that radiation did the job of screwing my head, or maybe it was due to the phone usage, without my glasses. Tried my best, but couldn't go back to sleep. Thought that a cold compress could help, so placed an ice pack on my head, though couldn't feel much effect, due to my thick croppage (yeah, a word of my own coinage.) of hair dulling the coldness. Thought that maybe one and half teaspoon's worth of water drizzling down the ice pack might do the trick. It even might've for a split-second there, but then tragedy struck.
The water was so little and the ice pack so cold(it's kept at -23*C), that the water froze, sort of gluing the ice pack to my head! Tried to, painfully, pull it away, but couldn't do that successfully without ripping out a little chunk of hair off my head, releasing blood in the process, other option being taking to the scissors and giving myself an impromptu hair-cut. Tried rubbing salt to melt the ice, but to no avail. Finally had to kick down the door of the bathroom and put my head under the running tap.
Was finally free, but now had a dual pain, the old headache plus the physical/muscular/on-skin's-surface/exterior/Whatever (you, the reader, get the idea, right?) pain on the top of head. Some country music helped me to relax enough to fall asleep after 50 minutes to an hour since waking up.
