Having an expressive and emotional outlet is one of the great things about KB. We all have a story and a history, and I think every one of us has been through the grinder at some point in life, or else we wouldn’t fit in on this island of misfit toys.  There is a lot of acceptance here, and a lot of forgiveness as well.  It’s cheaper than therapy, and the occasional orgasm is nice too.  Long way of saying, we love you Shiela.  And you’re not telling us much we haven’t figured out already.  And we love that about you too.

Group hug, CT. Means no quick feels...... ;D

Toe - just an occasional orgasm?  When was the last time you checked the hot tub or bomb shelter?  ;D ;D

I have a very vicious hang over, and now I'm seeing what I did here... wishing I hadn't posted that fantasy but I guess it could have been worse.

Hoping Shiela is feeling better 😊

Yes and no.

I've mentioned before that I have MS. This has a tendency to throw my emotions all over the place, and it would seem like I'm bipolar. People who have MS a at a mich higher risk of having depression, anxiety, bipolar, and suffering from dementia later in life.  This is of course another thing to worry about besides my fear of one day not being able to walk.

Anyways. Things happen, and sometimes during a flare up I get angry, then sad, then I get stupid and get drunk which makes me do ridiculous things.  Then I get embarrased by what did, and then I get mad that I got embarrased... I just have to sit and wait for myself to calm down. Just try and work shit out

My mother was a very bad drunk, probably because those were the days before bipolar disorder was a thing. She got into AA when I was a teen, and it seemed to work for her, along with whatever other meds. One of my sisters is severely bipolar. One of my daughters is severely bipolar and luckily has taken to Vraylar rather than ethanol. She just checked herself into a mental hospital for a brief stay, God bless her, and she's back out again. I haven't entirely escaped it either. I'm on mild antidepressants at the moment. Nothing to compare.

So you see, you're my mother, my sister, my daughter. You're one of us.

What's the occasion? 🎉

Two life long acquaintances have gotten together tonight. Frustration and depression.

I'm sorry to hear  :'(

It's ok love, been living with them my whole life. Here's some boob to cheer you up  :emot_kiss:

Okay, which one did you name frustration and which is depression? Based on my guess, I'd like to spend about half an hour latched onto depression and then switch over to frustration.

But seriously, I take note of how men, to soothe women, must generally do all kinds of complex and challenging things. Whereas women, to soothe men, all they have to do is "here's a picture of my tits" and we're all "purr" in nirvana.

As a man, it suits me. I like to be challenged to imagine great things while at the same time be so easy to please. It's a trait I happily share with my fellow devolved humans.

A rare cool morning, so I was reading the paper on the back porch. Up the steps comes out girl kitty. Just as I noticed she had her mouth full of chipmunk, zip... into the house she ran.

I went after. She dropped the chipper and I tried to grab the cat. Missed, as she quickly snatched up the critter and ran to the basement.

Don't know if it's dead or alive. If dead, we'll know in a couple days (ugh).  My fear is it's a pregnant female.

This heavy blanket of smoke is serious. My eyes burn and lungs feel like I've smoked a couple packs of cigarettes. Been over thirty years since I smoked.

We are also getting the haze from the smoke.

A 4-hour power outage on a 98-degree day. And three more hours after that before cable/internet was restored.

On the positive side, it wasn't caused by an overload, it was caused by a drunk driver who mowed down a power pole about six blocks from my house.

EDIT: Here's a photo of what happened to the pole.

That sucks, that kind of outage seems to be a yearly tradition for my neighborhood

There was a local shelter holding a charity walk next to a local park. As I hear it, everything was going great. Good weather, little breezy, and much cooler than anticipated. As its was told to me by four people, they got to the half mile mark, and a stray dog came from nowhere and began attacking pets. It wouldnt leave and would get into fights with some of the dogs, until some people with sticks began hitting it. It ran off, circled around and came back and attacked another dog.

None of the injuries were too severe, the worst one being a bite mark right next to her eye. A few stitches and antibiotics and we got them all patched up.

Police and animal control are out looking for this stray.  Hope they find it soon before it hurts anybody else.

Angry dogs eventually calm down, do try to give them a chance,
Crazy ones don’t, put out a S.A.S. order for them asap.

Cooking a meal that had cumin, cayenne, and chili powder in it.  The food tasted amazing but it was IMPOSSIBLE to breathe without coughing a LOT while cooking it.

Good to hear it wasn't anything worse, and I'm sure Nurse Shiela took good care of them  :emot_kiss:

We still had to call up our boss, then sent him a few of the worst injuries, none were life threatening, but the poor girl with the bite near her eye had us all concerned, otherwise we handled everything without him. We have two veterinarians that switch alternate weekends on call, so we always have somebody available in case something severe like this happens.

I worry this would happen if mine got loose.

Although when she has got out of the back yard, she ran around front and scratched on the door to get back in.  And the other day I found I had not latched the back gate; she could have squeezed through easily over a two day period but didn’t.

She was boarded over the weekend and apparently was fine, very submissive as she has always been while boarded or at the vet.  I’m beginning to think much of her aggression towards other dogs (and occasionally people) is about me.  She’s fine with people who know dogs when I’m not around.  I think her aggression is about protecting me.  She views dogs as a threat I need protection from, and the occasional fear of people is about people she worries are a threat to me.  She’s generally fine around women, it’s most men she distrusts (my boarder knows that, and never seen a man working at my vet).

Put it this way, you don’t want to get angry with me with her there.  I could drop the leash and yell ‘Kill!’, and it would be very bad for that person.

It’s constant vigilance to make sure she has a good life and everyone and everyone’s pets are safe.
