Our girl kitty isn't feeling good. Took her to our Vet early this morning. Still waiting for news. Makes for a long day when one of the family is missing.

So sorry to hear that.  Never like hearing when someone's furry kiddo is not doing well.  I hope it's just a bug and easily dealt with love :emot_kiss:

I was all excited about my Covid vaccine and decided it was time to start getting back in shape.  So I put on a new pair of sneakers, and went for a two mile jog.  Huge blisters on both feet now, so I’m hobbling around the house like the older fellow that I am.  Doc says to stay off the feet for a couple of weeks to avoid a foot ulcer.  Stupid me.

Oh I've done that.  Bought a pair of new shoes and thought they were broken in enough only to have my heel torn to bits. Now I invest heavily in moleskine.

Hope it's a quick recovery love  :emot_kiss:

My 25-year-old potential side piece cut me off today, for no none reason. I'm 56, have a son 26, and a daughter 22 that she does not know about. I do little things for her, give her an allowance, but every time I ask to take her to eat or whatever on our mutual day off, she balks. She even asked me out and pulled out the day of. She has told me on many occasions that she does not have time in her life right now to spend time with a man and that she is still recovering from a relationship she was in since she was 17. She is very popular at work with the guys young and old and relishes the attention, but claims I'm the only one she texts with or gives her gifts. I'm not a complete fool and realize I'm a decade older than her father, but I'm the youngest looking 56 you'll ever see, with 10% BFI at 6-6, 255 pounds. Be honest.

Half your age plus 7 is 35.  I am only a few years older than you, and look relatively good for my age, or so I’d told.  My ex is 43, my wife is 42.  My girlfriend is 32.  So I have experience in “big” age differences.

And the cold hard truth is, regardless of your BMI, unless you have a ten inch cock *and* seven figures large in the bank, this is not going anywhere long term.  She’s a child who views you with a certain amount of trepidation.  That’s understandable.  She’s the same age as your daughter.

Enjoy the fling, but don’t build your life and emotional health around it, because there is a huge worldview difference between 56 and 25, and nothing you can do will change that. Just saying...

I don't know the while story, or anything about her, but my thought is, she is getting some kind of emotional need filled by you. I'm not going to jump on the "daddy issue" thing, but there could be some kind it satisfaction of being around an older gentleman that makes her feel safe, or something along that line.  Again, I have no idea if all the details, but I do know that I've hung around guys who I know wanted sex, but I wasn't physically attracted to them, but they were sweet and treated me very well, and I'd playfully flirt with them, but never slept with them. They were great guys to hang around especially if I was feeling a bit depressed.

Yeah, we should probably move this over to a new thread in sex talk, because there are a lot of issues to explore.  I know my girlfriend’s father is my age.  He abandoned the family when she was young.  Then he made a new family with a second wife, and has two daughters who are a professional model and a media personality. I don’t doubt that her attraction to me has something to do with sending a message to her father that she is attractive and desirable, unlike his two other beautiful daughters.

I’ve been going in circles for four or five months in a relationship that has long outlived it’s usefulness and health.  But I tend to get emotionally attached to people, and I have a hard time just walking away.  I have old friends and lovers that I still follow on Instagram and Facebook that I should just block, but I can’t seem to do it.

Anyway, I am trying to ghost a lover that has become toxic to me, and it’s proving harder than I thought it would be.  I find myself reaching for the phone throughout the day, only to remind myself we aren’t going to do that anymore.

One is the loneliest number.

Was at the grocery store getting a card, flowers, a stuffed animal and balloons for my Peruvian’s birthday, plus picking up some groceries when extremely loud retching was coming from back in the bakery.  Someone was is distress, so I move closer to see a woman’s head down in a sink obviously meant for thr bakers to wash their hands.  One employee was standing at a safe distance watching her coworker retch and vomit in the sink, and another came over looked briefly and walked away.  The loud retching continued; it went on and on well beyond the usual’ I feel sick.’  At some point while pushing my cart towards check out and the woman’s retching showing no signs of subsiding, I had the urge to shout, ‘Nothing from the bakery for me today, thanks!’

I’m hoping it was something like she’s pregnant and not something serious.

Meanwhile later at dinner with family dropping nearly $800 for a table of 6, I had the sounds in my head of that woman retching while trying to eat lamb carpaccio, oysters Rockefeller, and poached lobster over butternut squash ravioli.

The one thing that made me feel good was the $200 tip I left for our waitress.  I’ve eaten out so seldom this pandemic, so when I do I try and compensate by tipping well.  It’s been rough on restaurant workers.

Ick, sorry about the bakery experience.  ugh.

Um, about that dinner.  You can take me out to dinner when I come to visit.  We could take a run at beating that total.   Really though, hope it was as good as it sounds.   And Woo #350 for you for taking care of the wait staff.  That's still a point of contention between Dan and I.

It's Saturday...

Last day of the week...

I was hoping to have a very steamy story to read...

I was under the impression it would be published by now.  Then again, I think there may be a few waiting for things that I write... don't be a hypocrite Shiela.

The “D” word.  And I don’t mean dysentery, although it feels like it.

But you knew I was an asshole when you married me.

Two restaurants in one place, we did 18th & 21st last night.  A take on a prohibition speakeasy, 18th Amendment outlawing alcohol and 21st Amendment repealing the 18th.

I had a Peerless Distillery rye last night after dinner.  A Paper Plane rye cocktail before dinner, a beer and pinot noir with the food.

We went back today for lunch; had oysters, a strawberry greens frisée pistachio salad, smoked salmon and for me a smoked duck Bánh mì sandwich.  I also had a Japanese whiskey called Iwai.

There’s a few hundred whiskeys on the shelves of the two bars there.   You sneak in the back to get to 18th & 21st and listen to live smooth jazz while enjoying your cocktails.  It’s your kind of place Jules.

Fuck, I dropped nearly a grand this weekend not including the recent visit to the jewelry store, monthly payments to start soon.  It’s eating at home until next month.

After taking care of some health problems with our little girl cat and getting her perky again, the boy has started limping. There's no swelling and he can put some weight on it, but we can tell he's hurting.

Soonest Vet can see him is Monday morning. They did go e me name of another clinic that's open weekends. Thought it best to wait for our regular Doctor, but he seems to be getting a bit worse.

Going to call when they open later and try to get him checked out.

He is right pawed and of course that's the one hurting.

Well trained and been made compliant....by my cat Neville

So sorry to hear that your boy isn't doing well. Without seeing him, and hearing there is no swelling, my thoughts go to a possible infection in the claw, assuming you didn't notice anything stuck in the paw or see any scratches/cuts, or even a simple big bite.  It's getting warmer out so wasps and bees are going to be getting more active. But a sting doesnt generally get too much worse.

Hoping it's something simple or that it goes away by monday.

Not ruined as much as it saddened me.....

A study done in Chicago found that people are buying guns with the stimulus money they have been receiving.  I am pretty sure that the powers to be presumed stimulus money would be for food and other necessities.
