I just gave up and hired Bubba with his plow.



He’d come by at four in the morning, and start scraping that blade all the way down the hill.  Sleep was impossible “ssscccrrreeeeeeaaaaach!”  At least he’d sprinkle a little sand and salt for me, so I didn’t end up in the ditch on the other side of the road.

Last winter we never saw more than 2 inches in about 3 mild snow falls that immediately melted.  I had bought a bag of salt, still sits unopened on my porch.

I wonder if we’ll ever get another ‘big one’ like we used to every few years.

According to my wooly bear friends, it looks to be a harsh one.  That could mean it's going to be really cold, or a lot of snow.  Either way I'll be in frozen hell.

At least I rent so no shoveling it any of that crap for me  :emot_dancing:

The two neighbor kids came over a few minutes ago to say goodbye. As both parents work remotely and kids go to school by computer, they sold the house and are going to travel the country for a year.

They'd been great neighbors and kids super nice. While I'm happy for their adventures ahead, I'll miss them as neighbors.

Now looking forward to meeting the new neighbors. :D

Started as a good day, shifted into an okay day, then it was all down hill from there.  Just stuff, including a too well done steak that I took two bites out of before settling for just the green beans and salad.

No, haha, but I have done that for him.   

And I usually don't have to say any words.  A snap of the fingers gets his attention.  I hold up two finger, then wrap them around an imaginary glass and bring it to my mouth and sip from it.  Then a smile, a raised eyebrow and a pleading hopeful look.   It hasn't failed me yet.  Batting one hundred.
