In fact I think it's illegal to touch it at all, even if it's in one of those dashboard holder things.

That’s what my wife said, the last time I asked for a blowie in the car.

Sorry to be late to this thread. Even sorrier to hear about your accident MJ.  I hope your recovery is progressing  :emot_kiss:

Texting even while stationary in a traffic queue is now illegal in the UK. In fact I think it's illegal to touch it at all, even if it's in one of those dashboard holder things.

Thank you, Obi.  I'm feeling good.  Really good actually.  Just some tender spots.  My sore shoulder really isn't hurting anymore.  Just when I move it a certain way I feel it.   But 3 sets of 25 lb dumbbell presses should take care of that.  But it did feel very weak trying to do a plank, so I stopped immediately.

I could see my breath this morning during my morning run.  It's going to warm up a little bit and get back into the 70s.  Just not good enough.

This is, it's all over.  All things considered, I was able to enjoy it while it lasted.  Made the best of it and had some good fun.  But, it's time to face the music and move on.  Today is officially the last day of summer. :'(

I've got to let it go. :'(

The only thing cheering me up is that I know it'll be back again some day. (Sunday, june 20th)

I never thought of it that way (end of summer) but now that you mention it... :)

I have a relative born on the fall equinox, so that's the main association for me.

And where I live it’s ‘I’m so thankful summer is finally gone’.  My favorite months in order:  Fall then Winter then Spring with Summer dead last.

But then I don’t live so far north I can almost spit into Canada.

Summer, spring, autumn, fwiplop, then winter dead last.  That's right, I hate winter so much a made up my own ridiculous season just to put it further down the list.

We’re in “False Fall” right now.  Raining with highs in the 80’s.  We’ll have one more blast furnace before “Actual Fall” kicks in around Thanksgiving, and all the leaves turn black and fall to the ground in a single weekend.

Round-abouts/traffic circles popping up all over the place here.

Here too. I've grown to like them. Keeps traffic moving and eliminates stop signs.

Biggest hazard is the fools who don't understand how to use them.  :emot_banghead:

Semis are a pain. Be have a law that says they have the right of way, just nobody knows it or they don't care, so we have big trucks holding up traffic instead of signs and lights

If you are very (un)lucky your road transport engineers may impose a Magic Roundabout on you  :emot_weird:

Princess, would you like to see it light up and hum when I wave it about

I read once that roundabouts were created in Europe century's ago to turn around horse drawn carriages. The streets were too narrow.

So what was old, is now new again, moving our horseless carriages more efficiently. :D

Actually had a woman yell at me that she’s going straight (therefore she has the right of way apparently), except I was already in the circle and had to slam on my breaks to keep from hitting her.  I didn’t have time to yell back that there was no straight anymore, not in a circle.

A bunch of intersections around here have been converted to them, and people seem to be gradually getting it on how to use them.

We had 60” inches of snow and sub zero temperatures the weekend I moved to Minnesota.  We had 60” inches of snow and sub zero temperatures the weekend I moved back home to Texas.

This was my driveway in Minnesota.  Now imagine trying to clear 5’ of snow off this... I still have nightmares.

Imagine that same driveway except at a 30 degree incline down to the road and you have mine.  I did shovel snowmageddon years ago, but the more recent snowzilla I said fuck it and shoveled a parking space on the road and walked down.  If I don’t park at the base of the driveway before a snow, I have a toboggan course into my neighbor’s living room.
