Some sort of medical emergency across the street from us last night. I was on the computer and hadn't heard anything, when my cat alerted me to something going on outside.

Shortly after, an ambulance pulled up, again no siren.  The firemen and EMTs were in the house for ten minutes and then left without taking anyone out.

It's still upsetting even tho' we barely know the people. They're renters, the only rental property on the block. They don't mix much with the neighbors. I wave at them when I see them coming and going and that's about it.  Wish we knew them better and could be of help.

I’ve had about four hours sleep since Sunday.  And I have to drive to another small town tomorrow morning, on a case I just got hired for today.  The fee is guaranteed by another client, but still.

Mason Texas, home of the Hoodoo War between German Unionists and Pro Confederacy Rangers.  Most notably, Johnny Ringo, Doc Holiday’s Huckleberry.  After killing more than a few, he fled to Tombstone.



Maybe I will sleep this weekend.

Got to work this morning and got a message from my dad saying he's back In the hospital. Nothing super serious just having a lot of back pain, got him on some decent pain meds. 

I'm pset cause I wont be seeing his RN this weekend.  I know he shut down any chance, but he's still nice to look at  :emot_thdrool:

Woke up in the middle of the night.  Awake for 2 hours.  Went to bed and asleep by 5:00.  I was feeling fine.

I got out of bed after sleeping and had a scratchy throat.   It has progressively gotten worse and right now I can't talk.  Hurts too bad and I've got a dry cough.  Forcing water down.  Cancelled a couple of people coming over.  Dan is going elsewhere (another party) on my assistance.   The temperature in the house is 74, which is 5 degrees above normal and I am FREEZING.   Sweats and PJs on my bottom.  A t-shirt, 1/4 zip pullover, and a jacket I use to run in the cold in is on my top half.   Have a blanket over me sitting in the recliner with my pillow.   I'm still freezing.   

Heating cabbage soup rightnow.

I'm so upset by this.

Still feeling bad.   Not as bad as yesterday though.   I slept for more than 18 hours yesterday with nightmares (fitbit says 18 hours 41 minutes).   102 fever.    I was chilled the entire time even with sweats on and three blankets over me.   Sore ribs from coughing.   Eyes ache.   Head ached.   Joints ached.   Couldn't walk a straight line if I tried.

I banished Dan to the spare bedroom because I didn't want him to get what I have.   But I would have given anything for him to be there cuddled up behind me holding me.
