My Minnesota Twins crushed my hopes for another shot at the World Series.  Damn Yankees!

Don't know what it is with the male pro teams and playoffs.  Both the Twins and Vikings seem to choke once they get there.  Now the gals...continues Woos to our Lynx.

Oh well...wait until next year! :D

Ongoing dental issues.

Dentist tried to remove a tooth on Thursday,  but it wouldn't shift, even with the nurse holding my head down. Apparently my jaw is too strong.

I'm being referred for surgery, but in the meantime I am thoroughly bruised, my face is swollen and only allowed to eat on one side.

Oh, and we're going on holiday tomorrow...

Sorry to hear about that IB.  I have a crumbling molar that the dentist wants $6000 to repair.  I have no insurance, so just limping along.

Everyone in the house decided to have some major form of dysfunction last night, so I was up until 4 a.m.  Rolled out at 7 a.m. to start my freaking Monday.

Took my knocked up black home-girl out to help her run some errands and she's like "I'm seriously craving long john silvers right now".

So I thought I'd treat her. I can't eat that stuff, wifey and my family would yell and scream at me about my heart. But when we got there... they were closed. As in out of business since May.  :roll:

Damned teeth have ruined, on-and-off, my whole holiday week. Pain has been flaring up two or three times an hour.

Strongest painkillers I can take without falling asleep haven't helped.

Worst of all is that the pain goes up with my blood pressure, so pretty much any level of arousal causes enough extra pain to put paid to most extracurricular activities...

(Not all bad, but this isn't the thread for good news...)

I took a carload of boisterous teenagers to an obnoxiously noisy haunted house event in the rain Friday night after a long week of work.

Are you using an anti-inflammatory?  An antibiotic?  My hideously broken molar usually responds to those when I have a flare up.

Anti-inflammatory painkillers, no antibiotics (no infection diagnosed, this is broken teeth awaiting extraction), and clove oil hurts as bad as the tooth when it hits the exposed nerve.

Too young

Three kids:  11, 3, and 1.  My wife is godmother of the middle one. Heart breaker.  She lost control of her car on ice and went head first into an oncoming big rig.  The other driver had no injuries.  We spoke with her yesterday.  It just reminds you how fragile life can be.
