... and the son that was at hospital has just been knocked off his motorbike by another biker doing 70 in a 40 zone...

Bike's a mess, probably a write-off, but he's only limping because we made him buy decent leathers. Good news is that the other guy confessed to being at fault, and at least two people got it on their helmet cams.

They say trouble comes in threes - I'm off to bed now, so I may stay there tomorrow...

Good leathers won't stop everything, but they help a lot.  My youngest brother lost about a half pound of his left ass cheek 'cos he was in too much of a hurry to put his leathers on.  That never healed up right.  Lucky for him there aren't any major arteries where he scraped the fat & meat off, or he'd have bled out before he got to the hospital.

We had planned on going to Cedar Pointe today.  For those of you not in the midwest, it's an amusement park with lots of big roller coasters.   Opens at 10am.
The weather forecast is calling for 22 mph winds at noon, which would possible shut down some of the rides, and rain at 2pm.  

I was looking forward to it.  But we're not spending $40 a ticket ($160 for the four of us) and driving 5 hours round trip (it's near Cleveland) with the chance of the day being a dud.

So, I'm kind of sad right now.   Everybody else is sleeping in.

Kids woke me up to make breakfast, then everyone ran out the door in different directions.  So I’m sitting here in the living room alone, doing the crosswords.

What’s ruined my day is the realization that my baby graduates from high school in only twelve months, which will fly by.  Then we’ll be empty nesters.  We are fostering a child from Ukraine this summer.  May be an adoption or permanent foster arrangement in our future.

Power went out at 1am last night after we got nuked with a storm, didn't come back on till afternoon. Couldn't even make the kids breakfast, and we dared not open the fridge.

We all agreed life in the apocalypse will really suck without electricity.  :roll:  When everything came back on it was like winning the lottery.

Losing power is the worst.  I would always move in with my parents or my sister when my house or apartment went black.  I will never survive the apocalypse. 

If the apocalypse ever comes, I'm just going to baskin-robbins and grabbing tubs of ice cream, coming home, sitting on my couch with a spoon and eating myself into oblivion.   I don't know why I say that, I was asked once if doomsday ever happened what I would do, that was my answer.  I'm sticking with it.
