We were moving stuff from one room to another, I must have gotten it then.  UGH, I'm going to dig a hole in my finger trying to get this thing out.

I know a hole you can put your finger in …... ;D ;D

My Peruvian’s mother is sick since Thursday, then she got sick too Sunday morning.  I woke in the night with a headache, but then began vomiting.  I was woozy and nauseous the rest of the night.  We’re now at her house while she makes chicken soup for her momma.  Her whole family is sick, and I got it too.

On the plus side, she’s coming back home with me tonight to make us chicken soup too.  I just hope I can keep it down.

You know, this is how the Black Plague and Ebola spread.

Do take precautions, Jed.

I live in a relatively small town, served by a single electrical co-op dating back to WPA days.  So we had one of those occasional black outs today.  Reminded how dependent on technology we are.  My son went out and powered up the car to recharge his phone.  I told him his great grandmother had a creek house, built over a stream, where they kept milk and hand churned butter cool.  He wasn’t impressed.  LOL.

Power is back on now.  What made my day.  Rebooting the network so I can get some work done.

Yeah, if I had any kids, i could tell them about how their grandma was raised Quaker.  Not quite Amish, or Mennonite, but still.  Sex wasn't a thing, that happened.  At least you couldn't talk about it, even as adults.  She still has the "Hurricane Lamps," oil lamps, for when they turned off the lights at night.

Not the family, the local power grid.  They were rural, they didn't keep the plant running all night, so the workers could go home to their families.  (Also, Hurricanes, and other storms.)  Now, you can't Navigate without a device to talk you through it.  Remember the debate about asking for directions?

I think they still make MAPSCO, but I haven’t seen one in a decade.  I doubt my children would know how to read a paper map.  I kept a half dozen in the glove box back in the day.  Glove box.  There’s another one.

Gee, when we were kids, and went camping, my dad made us all learn how to read a map, and how to lose a lensatic compass, and to navigate. I still have the lensatic compass he gave each one of us.

I use maps a lot.  It helps when there’s no cell service.  When you like like being in the middle of fucking no where, no signal is a frequent occurrence.  I’ve considered a gps for hiking, but funny thing about maps, they don’t need batteries and technical issues are usually limited to folding them correctly.

Wifey's daughter was practicing violin and started playing the Jurassic park theme on it. Now I can't get it the fuck out of my head.

OFFS.  The Youtube Recommendations continue.  Today, the subject du jour is how Bree Larson is ruining the MCU, Disney, and western civilization in general.  Not 1, but 3 videos on the assumption that I like to watch comic book movies, and therefore I must hate an actress, for playing the role she was cast in.

I don’t follow YouTube, Marvel, Disney, or western civilization in general, but even I have seen some rather virulent misogyny directed towards this actress.  Rotten Tomatoes actually shut down their rating page for the movie, because of the trolling hatefulness being spewed towards a female super hero.  Disgusting.

Honestly, what's the idea that the most successful cinematic event in history being "Ruined?"  That's right, it's ruined all the way to the bank.

I know, let's give a review of a movie we haven't even seen, because it isn't even out yet, and blame the actress we don't like, pro-actively.  For ruining something that isn't ruined.  How can anyone take this at all seriously?

Oh noes!  We can't go see Captain Marvel, because the Misogynists say it's a bad movie!  What ever shall we do?  I mean, besides show up to watch it in theaters, in record numbers, just like we did for Black Panther, and Wonder Woman when they tried this Denial of Service attack twice before.

Thor: The Dark World was much worse than they're even saying Captain Marvel is (Without watching it) and somehow, that didn't ruin the MCU.  The Mandarin twist didn't ruin it either.  Nope, still going, but I guess Chris (Which one is it?  Oh yeah, the Australian Chris) and Guy aren't women, or minorities.  (Though, with a name like Guy Pierce, I'm amazed they're not calling him gay.)

Almost makes you think Marvel is tweaking the comcon public.  Because “there’s no such thing as bad publicity,” and making it political motivates the female movie going public, which Marvel would LOVE to get more dollars from.

It's not a "Female movie," though.  It's not a rom-com, it's not an all female cast like Black Panther was the African American movie.  It's just got 1 female lead.  Is the villain female?  The rest of the Star Force?  No, there's just a woman on the poster.  It's not even Mrs. Marvel.

Last Week it was Supergirl being accused of being a "Social Justice Warrior."  Not Superman, who was The member of the Justice League, and the Justice Society, floating in front of Steppinwolf, and quipping about he's "Also a big fan of Justice."

The other one, the blonde, with the tits.  That's what's ruining our childhoods, "Social Justice."

I'm sure you can trust ^this guy.

Yep, luv em!  And pretty much the primary reason I watch movies.

Now if I can just find a way to watch all those old Italian and French movies that Claudia Cardinale made.  I don’t speak either language and don’t need subtitles either, just show me some Claudia.
