No I wouldn't Chirp...the stories you relate about your kiddies are delightful to read about.  Most kids are fun, it's just those few and I blame the parents.  I just love the summer here.  We have a neighborhood of young kids who are so great.

Summer nights they all seem to gather at the house across the street.  The sound of the screams and laughter ring through the dusk as they run and play games filled with youthful imagination.  And, they're smart too.  Before the running and games they have school right after dinner.  The older kids teach the younger kids what they know.  Those younger kids are going to have a giant head start in school.

I optimistic about the future as I watch the neighbor kids play and grow.

As annoying as kids like that are, I feel sorry for them because it's not their fault. They got dealt a crap hand in life and deserve better than the parents they got stuck with. It's the parents who need to get a fucking clue. Or get sterilized.

PS: I'm proud of you Chirp. From what you've shared, your kids have the best gift ever -- a parent who cares enough about them to teach them how to be responsible adults.

That's not always easy (I speak from experience) but it's well worth the effort. All of my adult children agree.

I know it's not his fault. His mother was obviously too young to do her job. I have never, ever had problems with my babies. I've never had to discipline them, except ordering them to stop running up and down the stairs. They don't do that anymore. The baby Latina has never cried once when I take her out. She loves the adventure. My sister and her wifey's daughter... Never a peep from her either.

I’ve been severely betrayed by my mother, my brother, and my best friend this holiday season.  I attended three funerals the week before Christmas.  I feel I only have my wife and kids to depend on.  Knock on wood.

Going through the setup process on a new gaming laptop for the kids.

It took hours just to update everything. Then you have to sign up for everything using google and blah blah blah fuckin' BLAH!!!!!!!!!!!! No, I don't want the free copy of call of duty black ops 4, why would little girls want that? But I'll get it anyway for when my brother visits. That was a nightmare to get.

Mexican Fireworks.     I checked my van this morning, and though it didn't penetrate, I found a backwards mushroomed 9mm slug near the dent it left in the roof.  I wasn't in it, but it still pissed me off! 

(I assume it mushroomed on the base because the rifling kept it spinning nose-up?  I didn't think about that.)

I first got it ~10 years ago with rare flare ups years apart.  A diet of meat and beer brings it on, and that’s been my holidays.

Meds take care of it in a couple days , but it chose to rear its ugly head just after Christmas while I’m traveling, very inconveniently away from my doc and pharmacy.  I’m calling the doc tomorrow, hopefully he will renew my meds without a visit.

Meantime, I can’t sleep worth a fuck and putting on my left shoe makes me nearly scream.  At least I was with my Peruvian the last several days, but I took her home today.
