Yesterday, but I wasn't up to posting one-handed.
The irony kills me.
A young woman at work made a bad choice in handling a forklift, and ended up with a three-way battle between a heavy steel building beam, the forklift, and her hand. Her hand lost the battle, of course. They had to scrape and scrub
pieces of her hand off of the beam and forklift later... I had to review the accident. I'm still a little nauseous after the review.
edit: my new avatar, after the operation, before the full cast next week,
By the time the cast comes off, I'll have spent
5 months dealing with a simple broken wrist. I'll have an excellent chance of a full recovery. My co-worker? Not so much. I'd heard she spent nearly 18 hours in surgery with a team of doctors working in shifts to save as much as possible. Mine was only 7 hours (one surgeon), for comparison.
