Food poisoning generally takes about 8 hours to affect someone. If whatever hit you right after you ate it could be something else. Passing out is the extreme. Sounds like you need to seek medical attention ASAP. Hope you can get some answers. Do you have any remnants of the chicken that could be tested. I'm glad you're feeling better but hope you'll follow up. Tough to think about as the holiday starts but that's why our medical professionals are heroes.

My god PH, that is horrible. Glad it didn't get worse or you ending up in the hospital. I agree with Bob, and you should go get you blood tested or something. Thats scary as hell!

I'll spare everyone the details, but the fact my day is ruined at 3am is in and of itself impressive. The fact it's 3am Christmas Day doesn't improve the situation either. And at my sister-in-law's house too. (We were here celebrating Christmas with a barbecue dinner.) She's pretty forgiving, but I doubt her toilet is.

Staph can affect you in as little as 30 minutes. But I agree. This was insanely off the charts.

Christmas Eve. Not going to spend it at an ER.

I do think a drug or toxin was involved, but the whole thing was over in about 3 hours. Very strange. My son is spending the holiday with me and was freaked out.

Botulism, Daddy. Can kill.

Well that was a fun read. I know more about botulism now than I ever cared to.

Oh shit, that's right. Now that staci mentioned it, I remember my mother having botulism about 20 years ago. She said it was the worst experience ever, and she honestly thought for a little while that she might die  :'(

Cowboys and Longhorns playing at the same time tonight. Cowboys on Amazon Prime TNF, and Longhorns in the Alamo Bowl on ESPN. And I can’t figure out how to open the split screen option! I may end up watching one on the phone, and the other one on the 65 inch flatscreen. But who is my favorite?

Watcher not doing good. Ive sent him a few emails, amd he got back to menwith just a quick message about not doing good. He didn't say what it was, but on top of his hyperactive nerves, he's been struggling with his injured shoulder, and having breathing troubles. 😔

So sorry to hear about Rick.
Wishing him the best.

I came into the VA around 3:00 this morning. The pain from my case of sciatica got unbearable. Haven't slept much last two days.

They gave me a big dose of opiates that put me out for a couple hours. Might be here for several days.

Hope you and Rick feel better soon.

Also, I had PMed Hilda and mentioned that we miss her posts. She had been reading the forum but not saying anything anymore. But now I see her last login was December 6 :(

I was always sort of the “younger” older guy. Joe, Brody, watcher, Bob, Vinney, Red Hat Lover, and a few others… and now I am creeping up on retirement age. I really miss logging in to see 160 new messages, and not just pics and vids. We had a very active community. I feel sad to see members down, or just lurking. Phtlc was here on the 22nd.

Sending love and positive energy for the new year to Rick and Bob.

Hilda was a breath of fresh air.  I hope she returns again soon.

Thoughts are with Rick.  And always with Bob.

I do my own, whether I have the money or not to have it professionally done, cause the last time I took my truck R.I.P. in for an oil change, the dildo dipshits not only did not tighten the oil drain plug, they did not tighten the oil filter. So about four blocks away from the shop, she died. I was so pissed that I demanded a refund. They gave me my money back, since the oil they just put in was all over the road in a trail from their shop. Found the plug, had to walk to the auto parts store, and refill her, and she was good as gold once everything was right and tight.

Thats what dad's are for. He would get pissed if he found out i took my car in someplace to get it done. Ive laid down on the ground next to him while he does it, but that's as far as I'm going!

I remember the first time he did it on my car, apparently the oil filter is in a very odd spot with a very usual way of removing it... he was getting quite angry. Owners manual to the rescue!

I think my cousins kid got everybody sick at my family new years party, he was sniffling and coughing but she kept saying he was fine. Woke up feeling stuffy, and as the morning went on i started feeling worse and worse.
Told my dad im not going to be there for the packer game, and he said he was starting to feel a bit sick too. So is my Aunt and Uncle. Lindsey can be such a dumb bitch sometimes

I really with people would be more considerate. Bringing a sick kid around a gathering is not a good idea. They don't cover when they cough, they touch everything. The don't wash their hands.  I'm feeling dirty just thinking about it.

Hope you and your family get past it.  Chicken broth and lots of water.

I'm still stuffy.  Cold is 6 days past, but waking up with clogged sinuses until I can get the blood flowing and clear them out a bit.

Of course this is the story of the anti-vaxxers also. It’s not enough to not care about your own health, you have to give something to grandma and I hope you don’t kill her. It’s just crazy the lack of consideration that this requires. Leave the kid at home. Hire a babysitter. You don’t need to expose everyone in the family to your pathogens.
