Evil people will always ruin everybody's day.

A heartless person in a red SUV, ran a barricade during the Waukesha holiday parade and ran down dozens of innocent people. At least a dozen adults and a dozen children were hurt, some severely, and there were some fatalities but no names or numbers were released. Allan and I were out having a good time when we heard the news. He immediately made some some phone calls to family who live down near Milwaukee, and I called my friends. Everybody we knew was safe, I just wish everybody could be safe. Can't even enjoy a parade anymore without fearing for your life

My thoughts and prayers to the victims and their families 😔

More than 40 people were injured with 5 people dying from the waukesha attack. They have a person of interest, but no arrests have been made yet.

Makes you wonder what was going through this person's head, and it was probably something like road rage and angry that the road was blocked off.

 What happened in Wisconsin is beyond road rage. It's totally demented. I'm shocked at everything that's going on around the whole country. It's like a complete break down of society.

They have somebody in custody now.

That's kind of what I ment, just didnt come across. Like I had planned.  That this person was so twisted in the head that being angry over a road closing would make him do this.

The action is so senseless I just can't comprehend how someone can do this. What pressure was building up inside them to go completely off the rails.

I sat aghast January 6th watching the Trump rioters overrun the Capitol. That was the result of a mob going out of control. This was one person, who was apart of society and mad the decision to kill. There's just no way to explain this.

The chilling account of the horror during a Christmas parade in Wisconsin has shocked everyone who heard of it. Now police are revealed information about the driver of the SUV. He was fleeing the scene of a domestic dispute before police arrived. The police were not in pursuit at the time. He just chose to crash through barriers a mow down parade marchers with out regard to the consequences. He has a lengthy criminal record with two active cases still pending.

Guess the only good thing to come out of this is he'll never see the light of day again.

Reading that the latest UK terrorist (who thankfully blew himself up, wonder how he's doing with those 72 virgins) was denied asylum seven years ago. What the fuck was he still doing here?

Contrast this with a New Zealand acquaintance of mine who stupidly forgot to renew his work visa. Despite contributing to society, having a responsible job and paying top rate taxes for several years he was given 4 weeks to leave the country.

The driver of the red SUV was on a $1000 bond for running over a woman at a gas station last month. At that time he was out on bond for another incident. Police arrest him and the courts give him low bonds.

Our neighbor waved at me from her neighbor's yard. She had her two dogs there playing with their dog

Went over and walked through the gate. There was Knut sitting on a chair with huge cast like thing on his left leg
 I then noticed the contraption didn't go all the way to the ground. Had to have it amputated four inches below the knee. Got an infection in his foot from diabetes and it was moving on up.

He's had lots of health problems this year. He actually looked better today than last I saw him. Was in good humor too. Said he wanted to lose some weight anyway. :facepalm:

Wife's a nurse, so he's in good hands.

The ever increasing price of petrol in the UK.  Now paying £1.45 a LITRE. That's almost $8 a US gallon  :( :( :(

Note to Obi: Shiela means $3 per gallon, not liter. (Oops, I mean litre  :D).

I've been paying close to $3.50 per gallon since late January. Sure glad I bought a hybrid last year. Mileage went from 19mpg to just about 50.

Its been awhile since i bought petrol gas in the USA, seem to remember it was about $1.5 a gallon. The UK authorites are forcing us into a panic for electric cars when the infrastructure just can't cope and where will their tax pounds come from then?  Just because they want to be seen to be green. There is no way my residential situation can cater for an electric car right now. The prices of second hand petrol cars is escalating the nearer we get to the point of banning new petrol driven ones.  I saw a BBC program last night about the human cost of mining cobalt for the batteries :o

I drive a dodge charger sxt Which is one above the standard car. V6 and I'm getting 20mpg with it. More importantly, it has all wheel drive so right now with two inches of snow, I feel much safe.

About the same here in Germany since January. Price usually varies between 1.65 -1.75 € depending on the time of day. Cheaper in the evening, more expensive in the morning.
