I honestly don’t think my house has been locked in a decade.  I’m not even sure where my keys are.  With four adults coming and going at all hours of the day and night, there’s little point in locking it up.  I do live in a small town. And I don’t have much worth stealing.

Were they members of cults or fundamentalists belonging to a certain religion that maybe I shouldn't name outside of Room 1408?

No, though religion is one of the many small examples of how he controls her. He's Catholic and insists they attend a Catholic church, where he also volunteers her to help with bake sales and other fundraising efforts. Yet she's not allowed to receive communion or participate in certain other things because she's not Catholic herself. Both agree the real problem is not that he refuses to attend a church where both could participate equally but rather the real problem is that she's not Catholic. It's interesting that she likes Catholocism but refuses to become Catholic.. I've wondered if that's her way of maintaining at least some control over her life.

Other examples include him moving in his ailing mother to live with them but then expecting my 'aunt' to do all the work until his mother passed away a few years later. Then his daughter from a previous marriage decided to spend two/three years traveling the world to 'find herself' and he volunteered that the daughter's three kids could live with them.. again expecting my 'aunt' to do all the work until his daughter came back to pick up her kids. After that, his ex-wife became terminally ill and he insisted that they help take care of her.. well, mostly my 'aunt' again, until the ex died last year.

They've been friends of the family since before I was born, they come across like a happy old couple (I think they're pushing 80 now), and I'm not aware that there's any evidence that he's abused her physically or sexually. But for as long as I've known them it's always been the case that he makes all the decisions and she has to follow without question, kind of like a cult leader and brainwashed follower dynamic. Now matter what he does or decides, she always has excuses ready and prepared for him.

Just read this article today. My state, a totally controlled Blue state, leads in gun purchases. Sad. We also lead in shootings. Really sad.

These Are the States Where People Are Buying the Most Guns (link)

The Federal Bureau of Investigation tracks gun sales and publishes a list of how many are handled as part of its National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS). Each month, the figures are reported by state. Nearly everyone put through this system qualifies as a buyer. People who are excluded usually have criminal records. Of the more than 300 million checks that have been done since 1998, there have only been 1.5 million denials. The data is, therefore, the best proxy for U.S. gun sales available.

Gun sales have soared in the past year. They have reached 28,826,449 through September. That is more than the 28,369,750 for all of last year. Growing civil unrest may have prompted people to buy guns for personal and family protection. Another theory is that chaos brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic is a major cause. A new UC Davis School of Medicine study about fear of violence reports that: “The coronavirus pandemic has exacerbated persistent structural, economic, and social inequities in the conditions that contribute to violence and its consequences.”

Who is buying these guns? A New York Times analysis shows that buyers cut across almost all demographic groups. Gun ownership has continued to be a flashpoint across the country, as the debate about who should own a gun and what kind of guns should be lawful continues, as it has for decades.

The rise in gun sales from 2019 to 2020 is not an anomaly. The number of Gun sales has increased most years since 1999. At the current pace, 2020 sales will reach over 35 million. Sales first topped 25 million in 2016, 20 million in 2013, 15 million in 2011 and 10 million in 2006. The first full year the FBI kept data was 1999, when sales were 9,138,123.

The rate of gun sales is by no means uniform from state to state, nor is the growth level. Among all states, Illinois has posted the highest sales so far this year, by far, at 5,600,703. That is almost 18% of U.S. gun sales in 2020, although the state has less than 4% of the nation’s population. By a similar measure, sales in California this year are relatively low at 1,183,460, which is 4% of the national figure. Almost 12% of Americans live in California.

I added the link for the states above.

Wow Illinois, arming up!  Michigan in the top 10.

And all those sales is the reason ammo is so scarce.

A little disappointed the Chinese rocket landed in the Indian Ocean, was hoping for a direct hit on Mar-a-lago.

Myself, I was hoping for a hit on Hunter's residence. Would be appropo considering his past dealings with the Chinese. Nez pas?

Seaspiracy.

We finished watching.
If even 1/100th of this is true, it's horrible what is happening.

From now on I will only eat the seafood I catch myself, or from the restaurants I know buy from local fishermen.

My ass and hip are killing me, plus my wrist is a bit sore. Slipped and fell last night and came down hard on my right side. At the time it was more embarrassing than painful, but now it just throbs. Went out to the bar with my friends and started to dance a little and slipped on a wet spot on the floor. Guessing somebody spilled their drink, and it wasnt cleaned up.  Didn't help that I had a few margaritas in me.

Glass of wine, hot tub of water, candles lit, lay back, eyes closed and think of hot throbbing cocks.

Get well.

I hope you feel better Love. That is awful. My best friend years ago asked me to sue Carnival Cruise Lines, after he fell on a slippery dance floor and messed himself up pretty good.

I sent out a demand letter, and they send me a copy of his bar tab. He claims he was buying drinks for everybody in the near vicinity, but it’s difficult to make a liability claim when your client had over $300 in cocktails delivered to his table.
