My car died last night. I had to have it towed back to the house. I have a really bad feeling this is going to be expensive.

My check engine light came on this morning on my drive into work.  Car sounds and drives fine, so I'm just hoping its something with the extreme cold

My check engine light has been going on and off at random intervals for three years.  The car is 7 years old with 175,000 miles on it.  I think this is going to be the “big one.”  My son and I have been troubleshooting all day (fun), without success (not fun).

Ugh.   The worst.

My light wasn't as bad $.   My Honda Accord check engine light kept going on and off.  When we took it to an auto parts store and they hooked up the diagnostics, there were 800 warnings.  All the same thing.  Something about the catalitic (sp?) converter fault.  But it was just a short (and the reason for so many faults).  Fix was $1200.  That was 80,000 miles ago.   One of the girls has the car now.  That light is still on to this day.

I had the same thing for years on a car, turns out it was the sensors that check the emmissions at fault not the catalytic converter.

Princess, would you like to see it light up and hum when I wave it about

Since last summers riots and calls for doing away with the police department, crime has been on the increase. The police department is down by 200 officers, as many claiming PTSD and taking medical retirement.

Car theft is up about 400 percent with several cases of car jacking at gun point. With cold weather, foolish people warm their cars, leaving the vehicle in attended. Gone in 60 seconds.

Saturday and again Sunday a driver left a running car with a child inside!!!  Both children were found safe.

The car thefts are being well publicized. What are ppl thinking, leaving a car ripe for stealing...and with kids inside.

Whole metro area. They're crushing around, usually in gangs of four. They see a car they want...block it with their car. Two will get out, sometimes with a gun and force people out of car.

Been some injury's too, along with stealing wallets or purses.

Here's an account of the woman who spotted the Saturday stolen car with a young boy in the back seat. The woman was quite emotional over the incident and the newspaper conveyed it very well.

Been a week since I seen him so at lunch today, I wore yoga pants, and a rather snug track jacket. Making it look like I'm coming from the gym. Drove to the cafe he introduced me to, got his favorite sandwich and a coffee, and went to his work.  I had to wait at the reception desk as they paged him.  He was all smiles and I was trying to be flirty without being too obvious. It wasnt a long time, but he wasn't on lunch yet and had to go back into work.  I gave him a hug, and said I'd love to see him for dinner and then turned and left.  He was staring when I looked back which is exactly what I wanted to see.

He sends me a text he can't come by tonight maybe tomorrow.

Well f@#$  >:(

Seeing the word 'Guest' under the username ChirpingGirl. She kept telling us she was going to, but I'm sad that she went ahead and pulled the plug.

I'm gonna miss you CJ.  :'(

I had hoped she would take some time away, and then come back when she was ready.

She checked out about a year ago.  Her posts became increasingly infrequent and irregular. I think she was plagued by some demons, and we will never know the true extent of her difficulties.  But she certainly had a vivid imagination.  I predict she continues to monitor the board, and she will be back in another incarnation.  She only announced she was leaving a dozen times before she finally did.

I've only been here for a year, and I've seriously contemplated leaving twice already.  Unfortunately that is the drama that is me

But you love us. And you know we love you. And we're a better KB family with you as a part of it.

:gay: <---that's a hug. not a kiss. Unless you want it to be.

CliffsNotes---Bored and Cold Feet ruined my day.

Dan is gone and I am so F*ING boreddddddd.
11 months of people around me 24/7 because of COVID.   And the last three evenings I've had N-O-B-O-D-Y.
Well, except the little one.  But I'm just not getting a whole lot of human interaction from her with a Disney movie going on the tv.
My highlight of the evening so far is playing 4 games of Yahtzee and scoring over 400 points in one of them. I even took a picture of my scorecard and text it to Dan. He's in the middle of nowhere without a cell signal and doesn't even know of my great achievement yet.

But wait, my evening gets a little more exciting. I am having shrimp and cocktail sauce right now.  And a drink of brown. but I was thinking about having tequila for some reason.

***addendum***

Oh, and my feet are freezing. Two pair of socks on and my feet feel like ice.

May be jumping the gun here, but I'm starting to think it's bye bye BIG Ben.  Ever since I didn't go to his parents for their super bowl party, he keeps postponing things with me.  He came over after the game, but since then we hardly even spoken.  Kind of always thought the age gap bothered him, so was a little surprised I even got invited.
