Totaled my car on the way home from work today.

Terrible news. Hope you are not hurt, and that there is insurance.

The trouble with losing a car is that, even if there is insurance, you must deal with appraisals, and haggling, rentals, and finding and financing another vehicle.  The insurance company may say your 1980 Malibu is only Worth $800, but if it’s a dependable daily driver, it’s irreplaceable at three or for times that amount.

Which is a long way of saying, I feel for you.

No injuries. Totally depressed and beating myself up for it though.

Well that's good.
Don't beat yourself up.  Mistakes happen.  The pain in the rear is the coming days/weeks/month dealing with the issue of dealing with it all as Merv said.
Total pain.
We are looking for a car for Mark's daughter who just got her license.  I am totally shocked at the prices of used cars with a lot of miles on them.   What happened to being able to get a decent used car for $2000?

Sorry to hear about this Katiebee, and glad you are not injured.  Chin up, all things will resolve themselves in time.

So sorry Katie.  We've only encountered a few fender benders over the years and always the other guy's fault.  Even at that, it's a total pain.

Just glad you're ok.

BTW, we're getting rid of the "Basset Limo", only 83,000 miles.  Past several years only used to go back and forth from the dog park.  In great shape...as long as you don't mind the doggy smell and fur that's now woven into the upholstery. :emot_laughing:

You want sticker shock...??
At the garage (okay its a restoration place) they have a 1973 Jeep CJ for sale.
Completely mint for that year (it's also a soft top).....asking price .....??
$15,000 non-negotiable.
I just bought a Chevy 1500HD from a used car dealer (because as he said) "he just wanted to get rid of it"......"his get rid of it price was $4,000 dollars" and it's a 2001 truck with only 79.000 miles on it.

Love,
Liz

Spending yet another holiday alone.  My wife being from Poland made a big deal out of Easter dinner every year.  I had no idea how much I liked that until now.

Missed a step and went tumbling down the stairs.  Didn't break anything, but my neck & shoulder hurt, and I've been getting bad headaches.  Taking a couple of days off work and hoping I feel better soon.

I've called my congressman.  I demanded he move to repeal the law of gravity.  We just can't risk our KB membership.

Sadly Gravity is one of his major campaign contributors! :sign_insertevillaughhere:

Couples counseling with the soon-to-be-ex wife. Hearing her repeatedly say that she doesn’t what to hear what I have to say about me...
