I love hearing of everyones dreams.   Hearing them described, it reminds me of dreams I've had in the past.

@Cap'n Resu.    Guilty here.   I've had a dream of peeing and did.  Only once, but it was just a few years ago.

@Vinney    I've floated around my room, usually just after I've fallen asleep.  And then I am shocked into an awakened state again.   My whole body jerks or flinches.

@Katie   sounds cool.   But when you mentioned slow motion, I seem to have many dreams in slow motion.

One other dream I have had numerous times.   Flying, not in a plane or with any help, just me flying.    But it's always above a forest and as I'm flying, I grasp at the tree tops because I'm afraid I'm going to lose my power or run out of fuel.

I had a dream a couple years ago that I was in a factory/warehouse with a bunch of people in the military (both men and women). They were dressed in camo pants and green shirts similar to the movie Aliens. This factory built white suits that people could get inside of. The suit would join with the person physically and cognitively. I think the process was irreversible.  Once wearing the suit you became a sort of superhuman soldier. You would be stronger, faster, and could jump really high. I remember how excited most of them were. Prior to getting in the suits they were horsing around and getting each other pumped up in preparation. Sorta like a football team just before a game. There was one person that was afraid and didn't really want to do it. The rest of the group kept telling them how awesome it was going to be and eventually talked them into it. I and a woman stayed back and didn't get in a suit. We were watching the suited people run around, jump up high, and swing from the ceiling. It's a good thing we didn't get into a suit because after a short while there was an unforseen reaction and the suited people started going insane. They attacked each other and we're tearing the place apart. The woman and I had to escape the building. We barely made it out alive.

The suits sorta looked like this: take the helmet of daft punk and put it on this robots body with the proportions correct for a person.

I get flying dreams all the time.  I usually get the hang of flying eventually.  :o
Flying Superman-style isn't nearly as easy as Mary Poppins makes it look. <BUMP!>

Another dream I get frequently is being in public, and noticing that I don't have any pants on.  For some reason, it doesn't seem remarkable to anyone around me... including me.  I casually saunter off to put some clothes on once I finally notice the oversight.

Remember the Golden Rule: you do me, and I\'ll do you (paraphrased)

I had to do laundry last night while everyone else was snuggled in their beds. When I finally passed out I had a dream about riding a bike in October, and taking pictures of the trees. There was no one else around. Completely deserted. I stopped at the Casey's and who was there? David Letterman. He offered me free pizza because it was old and he couldn't sell it anymore. Then he started cutting pizza and ignored me while I chewed on old pizza.

"It's not very good anymore, heh heh." He said.

The fuck, brain, what was the point of that???

Many years ago I had vivid dreams of being called up from my local industrial/beer league hockey team to play for my favourite NHL team. The kicker is that I'm not a very good hockey player. About 2 weeks later, I dreamt that I was an assistant coach for this same team and called my brother up to play. And he hates my team in real life.

A few years later, I was learning a foreign language and my dreams would be in that language. Fluently. I wish I could speak that language as well in real life as I could in my dreams.

Last night, I had a dream that I made a porn flick with Suzanne Somers.

That is all.

Anybody have tornado dreams?   Every year or so I have one where I'm outside and I watch it form from the cloud and come down to make contact with the ground.   It makes its way toward me and as other people take cover around me, I just watch it.   It hits a building, houses or trees and I just stare it.   It just misses me and debris flies by me.  In my mind I think that  I can't blink.   If I do, I'll get hit by something.   Nothing ends up hitting me and I turn and watch it continue to wreak havoc.

No, but I do have recurring dreams about being back in school.

I've had two dreams in the last year where I was back in school. In both cases I realized that I had completely forgotten about a class in my schedule.  I hadn't been attending that class for half the semester. I panicked thinking that it was too late to drop it and I was going to fail.

My worst dreams are either about a relationship, or where I'm driving a car and it swerves off into deep water. Water that is black and deep and where I can not get out of the car to the surface. I try with all my strength to keep the car in the road, but it is drawn inexorably off into the water. I always wake when we go under the water.

It's horrible.

Ack! Drowning/suffocation is my biggest fear of death closely followed by fire.

Okay, I'm glad you wake up.   Just reading this gives me chills.
I enjoy swimming and boating, but, ugh, water just freaks me.
Comes from the army when we had to jump into a pool with all of our gear on.  50 pounds of gear soaking wet weighing me down.  Worst.

Last night.
Getting lost while driving.   Every road I turn down is a dead end in a forest and I have to back out.  No room to turn around.   I do it super fast and it seems like it's miles and miles of backing up, yet seemed a  very short distance when turning down the road.   Suddenly I'm towing a trailer and I have to slow down to back the trailer up to keep it straight.   I was worried about the sun setting and it getting dark, then it would be impossible to back up the road.    It was getting nightmarish for a bit there.

That's all I remember.   It just kept repeating itself.

Woke up to a very cuddly niece and her stuffed bear.  She was cold and snuck into my bed.  We turned the air on yesterday.

What army was this?  Of course, I did the same many years ago but it wasn't called a pool.  It was called a rice paddy.  And you know what they fertilize rice paddies with?

Same army.   Basic training.   Luckily I didn't have to see the real thing.   Bless you Watcher.

PS: Just teasing you Rick, you probably bumped into my dad during the war if you ever needed a dust off helicopter. He was a Marine Pilot but picked up many Army and Green Berets when the fire fight got to hot and the guys had to make a quick exit.

On a boat in wavy seas.    I couldn't see land.     I could taste the salt on my lips.
I needed to get water.

Might be explained by sitting by the pool and in an innertube most of the day and thinking I needed to hydrate with something other than alcoholic drinks.

This isn't so much a dream but a bucket list thing I'd like to do.
Simply this:   Go back to my High School (when classes are out) and just walk down the halls and peek into my old classrooms (looking for memories, I guess).
I know weird huh.??
 :D

Liz

Was he with the III Marine Air Group.  They were the ones who mainly provided air cover for us?

I don't know, I'll have to ask him and get back to you.
But the most I can tell you right now is that he was stationed for a while at KY HA near Chu Lai (I think that's I Corps). But he was operating the UH-1E Slick or as he called it a "Dust Off" Helicopter (I'm assuming  that means no guns).

Liz
