Or How To Piss Off Your Wife In Three Seconds Flat.........

Okay, I got my mom to go riding (which is no big deal, because she has been doing it all her life). Anyway, I took a bunch of pictures of her on Blue while they were going around the ring. Afterword's I put the pictures up on the computer for my mom to see (which ones she liked and didn't like). Well to make matter's worse my dad decided to look over everyone shoulder and check out the pictures (okay here it comes). Mom's looking at picture and say's "They make me look fat" to a few of the pictures. Dear ole Dad chimes in (and I quote) "Have you looked in the mirror recently"......
And that's how the fight started......
Daughter discreetly ducks out of the door and goes home. 
(wondering if I should go back and see how things are?).

My parents, in keeping with a New England tradition, most often would express their love for each other by trading insults. I eventually got used to it, but before I will insult anyone to their face I will just shut up and remove myself. But Mom & Dad were still sweethearts all the way to the end.

Silly Liz... it was your fault... you should never have posted your Mum's pics for your Dad to see... I'd leave it a while before you go back, after all you could end up with two black eyes... one from each of them... and no Katie to defend you...

I didn't do a thing wrong.
And I certainly wasn't the one who had to open his mouth.
Anyway, there was one picture that she did like and is having it made into an 8x10 and framed.

Is dear old Dad still alive after this event or did you have to invest in a headstone? My poor Father was guilty of many the same things in his life. Not having a mouth filter was both his greatest strength and oftentimes his more apparent weakness as well. He also thought that the perfect Mothers day gift 3 years in a row was an Azalea bush, but that is a whole other story.

Dad's fine and Mom's talking to him again.
He went and apologized with a gold bracelet that said "I Love You".
Which is something that my mom knew all along anyway.
So everything is fine. For now, until he does something the next time.
