I'm able to change everything with 1 post, at least all of the things that normal users can do. Click any of the links in the MODIFY PROFILE section at the bottom of your profile to make changes.
EDIT: some of the functions of the board (like the SMILEYS) require Javascript to be working, or else they just flat don't do anything. Javascript is not Java; it's a different web programming language. It works on most phones and tablets, and all computer browsers unless you have it disabled (like I do right now).
You can't change your user name in the PROFILE secion directly, but the rest of the standard stuff you should be able to change. What do you want to modify that's not working?
Indian Babe, you won't get a 'confirmation email' from us. Once you registered, you're immediately activated.
We're on a shared server with 300 to 500 other websites, and at least one of the other sites has spammed the planet. Unfortunately, that put Kristen's on a global 'blacklist', so even if we send out an e-mail, it won't be delivered. Most e-mail providers are dropping the message before it even gets to you. It doesn't show up in your SPAM folder, it simply disappears.
Here's all of the stuff you can and can't do with just a few posts (the ones with A checked you can do, the ones with X or D checked you can't... yet):
A bunch of those options are for moderators or administrators, but the basic stuff you can change right now. After 10 posts the rest of it comes alive, for the most part. We had to do that to minimize the damage from the spambots. We had a couple of cases where a spambot got past my guards, and sent everyone a personal message with links to an infected website, so Grm modified the permissions (and I haven't changed most of them since).
