I discussed what has happened, and you talked about what will, might, or could happen.

That's the difference.

Granted, as he seeks re-election, Trump faces the same issue that all incumbent politicians face: By election day, Trump will have spent close to four years in office, and voters can evaluate him on what he has done, or not done, while in office. That's universally true, and it both a plus and a minus.

Meanwhile, you and other Trump supporters are furiously spinning and spinning, seeking to persuade potential voters that what happened didn't really happen, and besides, hey look over there at what he will do!

Ignoring your blatant straw-man argument -- no, Joan, there's likely not a single Democrat who believes that vote counts don't matter -- whether or not the Democrats hopes are, in fact, the majority hopes certainly remain to be seen. That is, by the way, the reason shy we're holding an election on November 3rd.

And who knows, maybe if you and your fellow Trump supporters keep spinning Trump's record and obfuscating realities, perhaps you might succeed in hoodwinking enough voters in November to keep him in the White House for another four years?

As the death toll in the novel coronavirus pandemic neared 100,000 Americans this Memorial Day weekend, President Donald Trump derided and insulted perceived enemies and promoted a baseless conspiracy theory, in between rounds of golf.

In a flurry of tweets and retweets Saturday and Sunday, Trump mocked former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams' weight, ridiculed the looks of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and called former Democratic presidential rival Hillary Clinton a "skank."

He revived long-debunked speculation that a television host with whom Trump has feuded may have killed a woman and asserted without evidence that mail-in voting routinely produces ballot-stuffing.

He made little mention of the sacrifice Americans honor on Memorial Day or the grim toll of the virus.

Twitter is now adding fact check to President Trumps tweets. And as expected the Donald has reacted saying he'll shut down social media. How anti-social of him. Oh yeah, that would take an act of congress. 

So, fact checking. Why would he fear that, unless he knows he's a liar.

In that brief second between when I saw it and when I clicked on it to read the story, I did not experience happiness or hope. But I did feel, well, something...

We have thugs usurping the peaceful protesters for their own agenda and we have a thug in the White House trying to usurp our Constitution for his own agenda.

Yes, it was truely shocking.  He used tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse peaceful protesters so that he could pose with a Bible at a nearby park.

Maybe instead of posing with the Bible he should read it.  He might have learned something, like "love thy neighbor as thyself."  Think about how much love that would be.

  It is easy to conflate the various reports, so the actual story becomes whatever you want to believe at times.

  Clearing out of Lafayette Square was done at the direction of U.S. Attorney General Barr, after his inspection of the area. The U.S. Park Police were given the task to regain control over the park, and to protect the Federal Land there.

  Those civilians who refused to leave the area, when the Park was declared as closed, were dispersed, using SMOKE, and Flash Bang devices, along with the visible presence of Police with Shields and other Riot Gear. The Park Closed at
630 pm, and a City Order of Curfew for all in the District Of Columbia was in place, effective at 7pm.

  Any other than persons with specific exemption of the Curfew would have been on their way home, not milling about or fighting in defiance of Police at 630pm, and those who continued the illegal gatherings were arrested.

  No munitions were used in the clearing of Lafayette Park in this action. No tear gas was used by Police in the clearing and closing of Lafayette Park at all.

  With a cleared path, President Trump announced he would walk from the White House to St. John's Church, which had been burned partially by illegal actions of rioters the night previous, and the President walked across Lafayette Park, to deliver a speech at St. John's Church, addressing the arson issue.

  (The mob did not all go home, and/or comply with the DC Curfew Order, but rather massed near DC's Judiciary Square, where Police broke up rioting groups, and the use of Tear Gas and munitions became necessary to regain control. Arrests were made, mostly at the Judiciary Square location). Judiciary Square is quite removed from St. John's Church, Lafayette Square, and the White House, for any not familiar with Washington, DC.

As stated about your prior message, it is sometimes difficult to cull reality from what is reported by our Press. Tear gas was not used, when the Park Police acted to clear Lafayette Square, on instruction of the U.S. Attorney General.

Munitions (Rubber Bullets) were not used by the Park Police, who did the clearing activity of Lafayette Square, under the order of the U.S. Atty General.

Those details are simply not true, FALSE, reported as such in The Washington Post, and more reports released today by the U.S. Park Police clarify details again, yet it is all over the internet, all over CNN and largely accepted by those who hate President Trump, and are willing, eager even, to believe anything they read to fuel their feelings.

This is a story of a specific place, a specific action, and there were plenty of other uses of Munitions, mostly by U.S. Secret Service it seems, some maybe happening in the previous periods when  rioters threatened the security of the White House and refused to obey Police commands.

The new anti-riot fence, installed to keep illegal actors away from the White House, has remained in place despite efforts of Antifa style rioters last night, today, and the night prior, at least. U.S. Taxpayers pay for all of this security, of course, so this is good news.

The methods used, keying upon attacking temporary crowd control fencing, and obstacles, were similar to those practiced by leftist Terrorists who succeeded in accessing and destroying perimeter defenses around the sacked/burned Police Station just days ago, and the new fence, and tactics, thwarted Terrorist attack success at the White House, so far...

All this discussing of what was used to disperse the crowd, rubber bullets, gas, spray, whatever, the fact of the matter is, trump wanted to try and fix his reputation after tucking tail and hiding in the basement, so he walked to a church held up a prop bible... up side down by the way, to make himself look like he isn't scared and that he cares.  The coward used dozens of police, guardsmen, and secret service to scare off the people he claims to care so much about so he could do a fake photo op.  He is disgusting.  

I said for months that I was going to protest vote because I don't believe in either candidate. Dirty Joe is getting my vote for the simple reason that it can't be trump any more.

  The Episcopal Ministers cited in Lois citation were participants in the Anti-WhiteHouse Demonstration, or were for some other reason on the restricted property of St. John's Church, which is a different Church from the one those women are associated with as Clergy.

  St. John's Church, "The Presidents Church", was boarded over, and marked with no Trespassing signs, after Terrorists attempted to burn it down, such Terrorists acting out violently, the night prior, while under DC Curfew Law, and being told to disperse by those protecting the White House and associated area and complex.

  The St. John's Church location abuts Lafayette Square, which is Federal Park property. At 6:30, with Lafayette Park being officially closed, U.S. Park Police acted to clear the park. St. John's Church was also closed, since it's fire the night previous, and was marked with No Trespassing signage and barriers. This private property sits at the edge/corner of Lafayette Square.

  The National Guard, DC National Guard, under leadership of the General who heads up the area National Guard, has its mission to protect Lafayette Square, including it's lawns, plants, statuary, and the entire park property, and thus are seen being dispatched to follow the Park Police clearing force, take over the property, and keep it secure from vandals. The Park was officially closed.

  I read Lois' click site, which notes the National Guard troops word Gas Masks as part of their duty uniform, and the Park Service Police did not wear Gas Masks. There was no tear gas being deployed as a part of the Park Police action and the National Guard was not applying tear gas, no order for it being given.

  Lots of Smoke, different colors of smoke, were deployed, and if some thought that was gas, I expect that was a benefit as seen by the Police, who knew it was smoke.

  Everyone, including anyone on St. John's Church property (which was closed, and marked as NO TRESSPASSING the entire time), was ordered multiple times by Bullhorn to move away from the area, and if anyone did not comply with the legal order to leave the area, I expect they were passed by persons trying to comply, both with the legal order broadcast repeatedly by bullhorn, and in order to comply with their legal obligation to be AT HOME by 7pm, in compliance with the DC Mayor's Curfew Order.

  NO ONE was authorized to ignore the Bull horn announced orders, or the DC Curfew Orders. Anyone with a Cell Phone was alerted to the Curfew Orders by a loud and disturbing claxon sound on their Cell Phone, and a Text Message which  remained on their phone with details.

  I received that message, and one today for that matter, on my CellPhone.

People who are reporting differently do so, at this point, knowing they are lying and their only motive cold be seeking disruption of the President, and insurrection support, in my opinion.
