I just listened to Trump’s address.

I am so thoroughly disgusted with his cherry picking of facts, his blatant and hypocritical appeal to fear. He sounded totally like the authoritarians he so admires. He DID NOT make a case for his stupid and wasteful wall.

Ugh, totally forgot about this being on tonight.

You really didn’t miss anything. Just a disgusting display of propaganda, from a failed wannabe dictator.

I, fortunately, did not forget about it, and so managed to avoid it.  ;D

I am worried he will create an incident so he can claim emergency powers.

That has been the plan from day one.  False flag attack, suspend habeus, impose martial law, and cancel the 2020 election.  People told me I was crazy when I first suggested this, but it doesn’t seem so far fetched now.  Remember the Reichstag.

Well, I was crazy when I suggested that he was going to collapse the country.

Doesn't mean it isn't true.

The supposed "Fact Checkers" in MSM, and Democrats, but I am being redundant, agree that President Trump was stating Facts, inconvenient Facts, and yet, there they are.

The Dem Response was stiff, stilted, and all about Government, not about the victims, the American Citizens and how we are the victims of Illegal Entry by Illegal aliens.

Little about how Democrats were near unanimous, from Obama, Hillary, Nancy and Schummer, et. al., that a physical barrier is essential to fix the Southern Border, so long as all it amounted to was talk, and posturing.

Hopefully, the President's Address raises the seriousness of this issue with the American people, and constituents let their Representatives and Senators know that they want this border barrier, common sense, funded and installed.

The Dem Response was stiff, stilted, and all about Government,

This was about the Government Shutdown.  Did he talk about the Government Shutdown?  Because he said he was going to.

So, rather that talk about that, he filled you full of fear about an invasion of brown people from Mexico again.

"When can we have our country back?"

Well one can also state that men commit hundereds of thousands of violent crimes against women. Therefore we need to have all men incarcerated or monitored, or restrained.

I just did what Trump did.

Actually, in this case, IT is about enforcing US Law, and preventing scheming criminal entry of those unauthorized for entry to the Nation.

The cost of leaving this area unprotected from illegal entry far exceeds, not only in dollars, but in the cost to our citizens and legal residents as victims of the illicit substances which routinely cross into the U.S. through this porous Southern Border area.

Politicians have for the past 30 years given lip service, without giving the results necessary to substantially reduce illicit and illegal transport of drugs and people, and it needs to end, and end now.

3 presidents in a row tried the "Physical barrier" and it failed.  All 3 of the living ex presidents have spoken against this "Plan."

Now, let's talk about the government.

Unless you want to talk about Drugs.  Like how Colorado, and Washington didn't descend into anarchy, the Crystalmethamphetamines made here by American Citizens, or the Heroin (Doesn't come from Mexico) epidemic caused by free samples of Oxycontin, which was marketed as "Non addictive."

Instead of blame Mexico for America's addictions, or talk about the government, in Politics.  Since your golden calf wouldn't.

The Border Patrol still needs funding.  To deal with things like This

I'm sure, if he builds his wall, the Mexican drug cartels will just forget that they already know how to defeat it.

Any time you want to talk about the Government, let us know...

Well, Gee. look at what the reports say, not what President Can’t tell the Truth says. 90% of illegal immigrants are overstays of legal entry by visas. Get your head our of your ass.

A wall for $5 billion and more, to stop 10% of the problem is not cost-effective.
The wall won’t stop drugs being brought in, because they bring them in through legal entry means at ports of entry, not by carrying in small amounts by backpack. DOJ, Border Patrol, all dispute what President Pinocchio says.

There are three kinds of people in the world. Those who can count, and those who can't.

In a disgusting partisan rant and as ‘punishment’ for not being a state where he’s popular, Forrest Trump threatens to withhold FEMA funding.

Or just build Catapults.  Or tunnel under it, or any of the means they already use to defeat the Fence.  The idea that we need a solid physical barrier there overlooks the Fact that there's already a solid physical barrier there, and it didn't work.

Re:  "Small amounts."  A kilo of Cocaine goes a long way.  That's a small amount, because once it gets here, it's cut, and broken up to even smaller amounts.  Rocked up with baking soda, and a catalytic mesh like brass scrubbers.

It's profitable, because Anyone can do it.  The drug cartels don't need to spend money on mules who they might not ever see again, when they can just sell it by the Key to San Diego tourists, just like they have since the 80s.  Even if we stop the Mules, that just means San Diego Tourists can keep buying keys, and flipping them to pay for their next vacation to Baja.  They don't get checked at the border, because all the focus is on Mexicans, and the Cartels know this too.

You know what you can't buy in Colorado?  Mex.  There's no market for it there, because they have much better weed, and you can buy it from the store, in the same storefront where it's grown in the back.  It doesn't make it any farther north than Española NM, because in Taos, we have white people drive up to Trinidad to buy the good stuff from there.  (It's also Legal in New Mexico, but even before it was, only the poor smoked Mexican dirt weed.)

This still doesn't say anything about the Meth epidemic in Albuquerque, and Phoenix, which is so bad, they made a Series about it.  They don't smuggle shards up from Nogales, because they don't have to.  The Wall doesn't address the Heroin epidemic that was caused by Oxycontin being marketed as "Non-habit forming."  With free samples passed out by doctors, before turning away geriatrics for "Drug Seeking."  You have this picture in your head of criminals, filling our streets with drugs, and that picture is Mexican.

The truth is, that the Junkies are a lot of them grandparents, living in West Virginia, and they don't get their fix from Mexicans.  They get them ultimately from Afghanistan.  That's why the CIA has been not fighting a not war there since the 70s.  Funding, they lost the Opium Road in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia in the 60s.

This is why stopping the Government to build a wall won't stop the flow of Drugs:  The DEA needs money from the Government, taxpayer's dollars.  So does the Border Patrol, and the Coast Guard, but the drug companies, and the CIA don't.

Democrat leaders are saying, in effect, that the illegals crossing the Southern Border at other than legal portals is "just about right, ideal" and needs no wall or fence to stop such activity.

Same for Illegal Drugs, Opioids, sex slaves, children smuggled by Cartels and other criminals is "just about right, ideal" and needs no physical barrier to stop or reduce such activity.

We shall see what the greater audience believes, and how many contact their Congress Members to urge appropriate actions... how many believe that the illegal activity at other than portals on the Southern Border is "just about right, just about ideal"...

Who?  Which Democrats are saying that?

None, no one is saying that.

Republicans on the other hand call a 4-fold reduction in illegal crossings ‘a growing problem.’

None, no one is saying that.

For once, that was a rhetorical question.  While it's possible that she can find a source, of let's say Nancy Peloci saying exactly that, that I don't know about, it's a moot point.

Even if there was, Joan couldn't be bothered to back up her allegations with Facts.  Just accuse the Democrats of the exact same thing.

Strawman, overruled.  Facts not in evidence.
