Proposed Trump Budget Would Cripple The Overworked Office Enforcing Title IX#Resist
Reduction in cost of Government, more Winning! They will still have 92% of their staff to waste our money and time, chasing moonbeams, complicating the lives of others. Surely those dedicated folks will simply put their shoulders to the wheel, and get the work done.Only an 8% reduction... hopefully followed by far more annually... good start!Quote from: Athos_131 on May 31, 2017, 07:54:46 PMProposed Trump Budget Would Cripple The Overworked Office Enforcing Title IX#Resist
The Pinocchio TestThe president is still regurgitating inaccurate campaign rhetoric. He appears to now understand that NATO members are supposed to meet a 2 percent guideline, but he still consistently frames this as money that is owed to the United States or American taxpayers. But even if all NATO members suddenly met the guideline, no additional money would end up in the U.S. Treasury. So the president is being deeply misleading.During the campaign, we originally gave Trump’s NATO comments Three Pinnochios, as more of the burden for defense of Europe falls on American shoulders. But enough time has passed, with so little change in the president’s rhetoric, that we are increasing the rating to Four Pinocchios.
The disclosures from investigations stemming from Russian meddling in last year’s election — coupled with the president’s habit of undercutting his staff — have driven away candidates for West Wing jobs that normally would be among the most coveted in American politics, according to people involved in the search.By the time the first change in what may be a broader shake-up was announced Tuesday, the White House was left without a replacement. Michael Dubke, the White House communications director, said he would step down, but four possible successors contacted by the White House declined to be considered, according to an associate of Mr. Trump who like others asked not to be identified discussing internal matters.
“It shows the chaos around Washington that nobody has really started to talk about this yet,” said a Justice Department lawyer who deals with tax fraud prosecutions, speaking on condition of anonymity since he is not authorized to speak to reporters. “But finally, I think, someone is going to get their hands on Donald Trump’s tax returns. And that man is Robert Mueller.”
It says a lot about someone's leadership when no one wants to work for you.
Joan, you are obviously unaware of the issues involving Baylor University and the suite against them for violations of Title IX. It involves the failure to investigate or to take seriously allegations of sexual assault of students in campus.
