I see that Joan has taken a break from working on the Trump campaign to offer a post.

I doubt Joan is working on his campaign as the vast majority of college educated people will have nothing to do with Trump. If she happens to be a Republican, I sure hope she is pulling hard for Kasich.  He seems to be the only sane candidate still in the GOP race.

Kasich would be better than Hillary or Bernie, but that is not saying much at all. Cruz is my favorite, and whether he or Donald Trump win the Nomination will draw my support without question.

I am a registered Democrat, btw, and due to the 97% Democrat District of Columbia, the only way to have any input is voting in Dem Primary elections here. Rarely find a Democrat remaining who is worthy of my support, sadly.

Carly is worth voting for, as is Ben Carson, and a handful of the other 19 dwarfs, regardless of whether they got a seat at the big kids table or not. The Supreme Court required Hillary and Bernie be defeated, and hopefully those Democrats who cannot bring themselves to support Hillary, will hold their nose for Trump or Cruz, better a Trump/Cruz ticket... or even a Trump/Kasich ticket in November.

Trump/Kasich works for me, with Kasich being the only RINO in the Admin if at all possible. Cruz for SCOTUS... sounds like a plan...

Some people are like the 'slinky'. Not really good for much,
but they bring a smile to your face as they fall down stairs.

Something tells me it's going to be a Trump/Christie Ticket.
I don't think Trump and Cruz could get along with each other for four years.

I just don't understand you Joan.  Cruz?  The guy is religious fanatic. He believes that God chose him to be our next President.

Back when Ted Cruz was the Texas solicitor general, he ferociously defended the state's law barring the sale of dildos.

He wrote in his brief that Texas, in order to protect "public morals", had  "police-power interests" in "discouraging prurient interests in sexual gratification, combating the commercial sale of sex, and protecting minors."  There was a "government" interest, it maintained, in "discouraging...autonomous sex." The brief compared the use of sex toys with "hiring a willing prostitute or engaging in consensual bigamy," and it equated advertising these products with the commercial promotion of prostitution. In perhaps the most noticeable line of the brief, Cruz's office declared, "There is no substantive-due-process right to stimulate one's genitals for non-medical purposes unrelated to procreation or outside of an interpersonal relationship."

Cruz lost and the federal appeals court opined that the state had no legal business telling people what they could and couldn't do in their own bedrooms.

Is this a guy that any sane person thinks would make a good President?

And further, are you aware that Cruz attended a "Death to the Gays" rally in 2015. He is also close personal friends with Pastor Kevin Swanson, who advocates the death penalty for gay people.

So Joan (who claims to be a lesbian and participates on several sex positive websites), how can you support Cruz?

I am always skeptical of people who claim someone spoke to them, especially if that someone is not in the shape of a human being.

Lois, question.  What does one's sexuality have to do with who he or she prefers as a presidential candidate?

I would think a person would support their own self interest. Why vote for someone that might throw you in jail for you sexual orientation?

Wow, can I have some of what SHE's smoking?  ;D  She's seeing pink elephants!

Lemme see, "I'm a liberal but I don't like Hillary.  Yeah, TRUMP is my man!"

That pretty much takes an extreme (some would say psychotic) break from reality to even FATHOM, let alone come up with.  As a 'middle of the road Libertarian', the LAST two people I'd vote for are

1) a corporate raider (let's swindle EVERYONE!)
2) a religious nutbag ('nuff said on THAT nitwit)

Remember the Golden Rule: you do me, and I\'ll do you (paraphrased)

No doubt Joan is avoiding any answer to these issues because she knows her position is indefensible.

So Trump swept the Tuesday results in the northeast. Am I happy about that? Not especially, except for the message it carries about rejecting the long-standing Republican platform favoring the financial elite. Plus it seems to be adding to the entertainment potential of the Republican convention.

Would Kasich consider signing on as Trump's running mate? That would be hilarious. Almost any Republican I can think of would be hilarious, but Christie would be a good fit personality wise, two megalomaniacs. Strategically though, I don't think two sharks from NY-NJ would fly in the rest of the country.

I continue to view the Republican race primarily for its entertainment value, a meaningless distraction from the Hillary disaster, which looks unstoppable.

But Hillary in the White House when the economy crashes in 2017, who better to be waving the flag, telling new lies about how it wasn't the fault of her friends on Wall Street, how it was mainly due to communists in Asia, Africa and South America?

Along with the new religion of the Flying Spaghetti Monster I think we should have a new political party, let's call it the Cynical Resurgency.

Trump wins in Indiana and Cruz calls it quits. One out of two isn't bad.  ;D

Trump knows you're waiting, Liz. He wants you to sweat a little more before he drops out. ;-) Cruel of him, isn't it?

Sure. That's like asking Jimmie Johnson to park it half a lap before he wins.

Running a corporation is not a prelude to running the most powerful country in the world.  CEOs love to dictate while presidents need to compromise and build trust.  Something, I think, Trump cannot do.
