Being an ass, like you do, reveals that you really aren't the nicer person you present to your associates, friends, and family.

You reveal your true jerk status here, what you really are. We don't really think you are funny or have any particular insight, nor are your little family vignettes endearing in light of what an asshole you really are.

You will now proceed to show us, in a very trollish way, how you don't care what anyone here thinks about you.

Which is fine. I might venture that most here don't give a speck of sweat what you think.

You're right I don't care. I don't care that they don't care what I think.

And if I may judge you as you judge me, I judge you to be a mean spirited judgmental irrational person who I would not spend 1 minute with in real life.

Have fun being like that. Hope it gets you lots of friends who behave to your specifications.  :D

No I don't care to read your response so go back on topic.

I said Commy.

I know what you said, dear, but repeating it doesn't make it right, even if you manage to spell it correctly.  You're not the Bellman.

When did I ever imply if I cared anyone thought I was right?

Every time you get annoyed at being corrected.

I'm amused that the primary candidates in THIS political clown circus have recently come out saying that they won't stand behind the winner, especially if it happens to be Trump.

Of course, since it's devolved to "little dick" and "butt-ugly wife" comments, who the hell cares WHO they throw their support behind.  It's all a sideshow act this loop around.

WHO SAYS that Google doesn't have a sense of humor?    :emot_laughing:

I was googling "Baron of Darkness", a couple of horror porns from the late '90s, and up pops THIS!

The juxtaposition is quite nice, Google.  Cunning ad for the dark side.

I hate to burst your bubble, but...

http://www.snopes.com/stephanie-cegielski-letter-trump/

She's got a legit beef with Trump, but her credentials are trumped up.

So, the actual letter is real, and the only issue Snopes has with the story is with the title given to Ms Cegielski by the headline writers (she clearly states her role in the body of the text), not with anything she actually writes.  Also, the only part of the story denied by a Trump spokesman is that she was employed directly by Trump.

Yeah, I could say that I was the King of Siam, but without proof it's just a nice story.

I'm not discounting anything she says.  Hell, it all makes perfectly good sense.  It won't change anyone's mind, though.  If Trump telling people that he'd still get their votes after "shooting someone in the middle of the street in New York" doesn't scare 'em away, nothing else will.  That's not an exact quote, but you might remember the incident.

What scares me is that the people are so disenchanted with the OTHER assholes in the Republican party that someone like Trump actually has a shot at the Presidency.  That nitwit could actually WIN.

Well, it would be a disaster, should he win. However the damage would be contained because the Republican caucus in the senate and House would not support him.. It would lock him out. More dangerous would be if Cruz got elected. He could really Dick the country up.

Viewed from over here, it looks as though Trump will win the nomination (internal party political manoeuvring notwithstanding), but lose the actual election.

This could (again, looking from the outside) wreck the Republicans as a party for many years to come, and could see the rise of other parties and independents in future elections.

Bizarrely, Trump could actually be the saviour of American democracy...

Though some on this board like to reject opinions from "over there" out of hand, I think this is the most astute assessment of the current situation I've read here.

The hopes for a brokered convention are a pipe dream at this point, especially given the potential, as you point out, of splintering the party for years to come.

Depending what happens in the next few weeks -- especially given the upcoming primaries in New York and Pennsylvania -- Trump could have the nomination sewn up by the end of April.

Still possible for a Trump/Cruz Nomination at this point, similar to GHW Bush having to swallow his 'voodoo' economics rhetoric way back when we needed to be saved from a Carter second term. Politics makes for strange bedfellows...

Politics in America, as is true most everywhere but especially here, is all about show business, and in show business American style, you can't go wrong by appealing to the lowest common denominator. That's what led Mencken to say that democracies get the leaders they deserve.

An very long article, but worth the read.  I believe it explains why the Republican party is in such a pickle

I see that Joan has taken a break from working on the Trump campaign to offer a post.
