What's this I hear on Twitter about Trump removing federal influence on education, and he's going to let curricula fall under local control all the way down to individual school boards?
Given the constant pressure already put on schools by religious groups, the way Texas left most scientific terms out of the evolution section science text books (and replaced them with creationist weasel-words), published history texts that referred to slaves as "workers", avoided mention of slavery as a trigger for the Civil War and claimed the constitution was based on biblical law, I find this a terribly worrying development for the future of merican education and, subsequently, industry, trade and innovation.
