You really are obsessed about things... wtf does cuba have to do with whatever guilt you are worried about today... please do not slander me by suggesting I have anything to do with your rabid worries.  Geez...

Obama used his Executive Orders to institute some half assed things, and the President said he would bring some sanity back on many items during the 2016 Campaign, and is doing what he said he would seek to do.

Simple as that.  What part of stopping US funding of the Cuban Military do you believe is not in the interest of the United States?

Thank God we still have the US Marine Corps base at Guantanimo Bay. Deep water ports are important, and there is a lot of future for this base... not for turning it over to the Cuban government, certainly.

Cuba is not worthy of the recognition bestowed upon them by Obama.  Think of this as 'right sizing', or just think of it as 'winning'.

Any particular reason, Joan, or do you just like to pretend that you're an Old Testament God, arbitrarily smiting people who are a bit different than you?

Speaking of people who are different, have you heard about the gays? Should we smite them too (some folks say yes -- people in your crowd mostly). Should we do some "winning" on the fucking gays?

Here's a thought, Joan, How about waking up, and trying a posture that isn't based on ignorance, hate and small mindedness.

Some people are like the 'slinky'. Not really good for much,
but they bring a smile to your face as they fall down stairs.

75%of the us population approved of the thaw. That includes most of the Cuban emigre population. Trump was playing to the hard-line Cuban exiles.

There are three kinds of people in the world. Those who can count, and those who can't.

It seems that Trump always has a solution in search of a problem.

I'm sorry Joan, but the US is not funding the Cuban Military.  This whole right-wing talking point is based on the idea that the Cuban Military MIGHT benefit from tourism dollars, and yet you word it like our government is giving direct funding to Cuba's military.  Shame on you!

Gee, do you think the Russian Military might benefit from Trump's business dealings in Russia?

Trump said foreign leaders wouldn’t laugh at the U.S. Now they’re laughing at him.

Quote
In Mexico, former president Vicente Fox posted a profane video on YouTube, mocking Trump’s taste for taco bowls (“they’re not even Mexican!”) and border walls (“Mexico will not pay”) that has been viewed nearly half a million times.

In France, new President Emmanuel Macron unveiled a website titled “Make Our Planet Great Again” and invited U.S. scientists to move there, a week after Trump withdrew the United States from the Paris climate accord.

And in Australia, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, who sparred with Trump in a testy phone call in February, this week treated a black-tie gala to a snarky impersonation of “The Donald,” referring to the Russia investigation and employing the president’s famous catchphrases.

Trump acknowledges for first time he’s under investigation

Quote
Trump advisers and confidants describe the president as increasingly angry over the investigation, yelling at television sets in the White House carrying coverage

Trump is fat and unhealthy.  He wants everyone else to be fat and unhealthy, too.

Help wanted: Why Republicans won’t work for the Trump administration

Quote
Republicans say they are turning down job offers to work for a chief executive whose volatile temperament makes them nervous. They are asking head-hunters if their reputations could suffer permanent damage, according to 27 people The Washington Post interviewed to assess what is becoming a debilitating factor in recruiting political appointees.

Quote
“He just threw Jeff Sessions under the bus,” Valdez said, referring to recent reports that the president is furious at the attorney general for recusing himself from the Russia investigation. “If you’re working with a boss who doesn’t have your back, you have no confidence in working with that individual.”

Quote
But as the president continues to sow doubts about his loyalty to those who work for him, most recently with his tweets on Friday that appeared to attack Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein, a number of qualified candidates say they see little upside to joining government at this time. They include eight Republicans who said they turned down job offers out of concern that working for this administration could damage their reputation.

Cuba to Trump: US in no 'condition to lecture us' on human rights

Quote
The Cuban government rebuked those statements in a lengthy response Friday, writing that Trump's executive order betrays a double standard on human rights.
"We have deep concerns by the respect and the guaranties of the human rights in that country, where there is a large number of cases of murder, brutality and police abuse, particularly against the African Americans; the right to live is violated as a result of deaths by firearms," the statement read.

It went on to list a litany of concerns: racial discrimination, salary inequality between genders, the marginalization of immigrants and refugees from Islamic and other countries, Trump's proposed wall on the southern border, his decision to pull out of the Paris climate accord, the imprisonment of enemy combatants at Guantanamo Bay, the killing of US and foreign citizens in drone attacks, the preface for and conduct of the wars in Iraq and other Middle Eastern countries, and estimates that the Republican health care bill would cause 23 million people to lose medical insurance.

Quote
"The US President, ill-advised once again, takes decisions that favor the political interests of an extremist minority of Cuban origin in the state of Florida, who driven by petty motivation, do not desist from their objective to punish Cuba and its people for exercising the legitimate and sovereign right to be free and for having taken the reins of their own destiny," the statement said.

Six Experts Resign From President’s HIV/AIDS Advisory Panel in Protest

Quote
"The decision to resign from government service is not one that any of us take lightly," Schoettes wrote on behalf of his colleagues. "However, we cannot ignore the many signs that the Trump administration does not take the on-going epidemic or the needs of people living with HIV seriously."

Quote
"Because we do not believe the Trump Administration is listening to — or cares — about the communities we serve as members of PACHA, we have decided it is time to step down," Schoettes wrote.

I heard that Joan is working for him.  Not surprised, she is disturbed.
