my grammar/spelling errors are usually the by product of posting from my iPhone. The tiny keyboard is not helpful for my speed typing. As for the awkward syntax I challenge you on that. I tend to use a more formal sentence  construction that many people. What you may feel is awkward is you perceiving only one form of sentence contraction as correct, namely that of conversational English.

Oh, I could point to things which I'm referring to, but I'd rather not. I don't want to escalate this, and I don't want you to become an adversary. Suffice it to say that if I lob a verbal grenade at someone, I know before I do it that I can back it up.

Were you acting as a professional writer when you pointed out (correctly) that I substituted mute for moot? I don't think you were, or needed to be. You simply spotted a mistake of mine that I had missed.

I see enough mistakes in your writing, which presumably you either didn't see, or didn't care enough to correct, that I'm confident challenging you on the wisdom (or lack thereof) of being a nit picker about other people's grammatical errors. You can do what you want, of course; I'm simply letting you know that I think it's a mistake on your part to do so.

I make mistakes all of the time, so I'm not pretending to be faultless or anything even close. But then, I don't challenge people on minute issues of grammar either -- so long as their meaning is clear. That is, unless they irritate me.
