In my mind, when someone says god, or higher power, or supreme being, or whatever in a similar vein, they are talking about
It doesn't matter what you assume everyone else means. It matter what they actually mean. Even if you redefine everyone's God as the creator, you still have to prove that we were created without a god, for which you have no evidence.
None. Again, no evidence means you keep Looking, not tell people what other people are talking about, in your mind, to prove your point. What people are talking about, in your mind, is not evidence, it's a delusion.
Seriously? It doesn't matter? Since my opinion is only truly relevant and only really matters to me, it definitely matters how I perceive what people are talking about.
For your second point, I totally reject such an argument. In the first place, as you said, you can't truly prove a negative, so, since I don't believe there is a god, I have no reason to waste my time seeking out evidence that can't exist. In the second place, I'm also not trying to change your mind since I honestly don't care what you think, so again, I don't have to do provide anything.
I started in this thread saying that I believe that people who believe in god, or in a creator, or whatever, are weak minded. I still believe that. I also said that those people who place their lives 'in god's hands' are even worse since as a consequence, they then do not take responsibility for their own actions.
Now, one last thought. You too can make that same argument back to me that you're not trying to change my mind either and so you to have no need to provide evidence. However, in my mind, you have been trying to do so. If so, it would then be up to you to provide supporting evidence.
