Nothing quite like avoiding the subject matter of the post nor even the desire for someone to elicit conversation regarding a subject that has been the topic of conversation for countless millennia.
I have never discouraged others to exercise their rights, especially when it comes to expression. I have also, like many others on this board, also supported the idea that what you say is also open to what others think or say about your opinion. Trying to shut someone down because you think their opinion is not worth the discussion is trying to control their right to that expression. Now to judge the opinion as worthy or not is also a right and one to be used with the idea of how you apply that judgement will, or should, apply to you also.
As I had mentioned, this question has gone on for millennia (and as this particular post has also had a long life). I believe it will be going on long after this board has ceased to exist. As for other posts, what you proposed is I think relative to a straw man argument....I was not implying other posts, just this particular subject. Anyone who has read any of my other posts will show I am just as easy to pass a flippant comment as anyone else, or even downright irrelevant. And I have read prior posts. Some comments were "spot on" in that they could elicit fruitful dialog, or even "forbid it" some self effort to dig and find out what is meaningful for that person.
Again, as for KB being the site: archaeologists often find great treasures in old "trash heaps and junk yards"; who knows what could become of KB?
