as I see it, it is up to us, as humans, to work together to end world hunger, collectively, the world has the resources. (of course the cliche "to fix world hunger" means to undergo an impossible task.

i will post insert some links for international help agencies, some secular, some are faith based, there are literally hundreds of agencies

Rope, that reminds me of an old WWII movie I saw, called Battleground.

A fresh young replacement reports to his first unit, 101st Airborne, as a rifleman just as they are sent to Bastogne. He becomes a veteran quickly and his optimism turns to cynicism aptly displayed as Christmas nears and the are reading a German propaganda leaflet calling on their surrender.

He begins quoting scripture with a line of recent reality thrown Omar the end of each line.
"The shall mount up with wings of eagles,... Unless te sky is overcast. The y shall run and not be weary,... Unless their feet are frozen..."

Reality and faith often do not align with the same outcome. God hels those who help themselves. Which is a euphemistic way of saying put your faith in God, but keep your powder dry.

I'm not sure if praying to get up and walk again is more or less valid then having spine surgery and getting up and walking again after the surgery...I'll go with the surgery.
on another note, I've heard stories about the religious zelots saying that "man" has gotten to much power, that we can do things now that "only" God should be doing.
I don't (personnally) think that God and Science have anything to do with each other,
Man (by nature) will explore, will always push the boundries of known science, will continue to improve medicine, will go deeper into space....It's our nature to do so.
If God had not wanted us to do any of that..he should have created a bunch of "brainless idiots"..............oh hell, wait a minute he did..it's called the US Congress.

haha very funny, actually it was little, I got a chuckle out the GECK kit, or whatever it is called, i never heard of it before

what I am getting at is people bitch about world hunger, and blame god, or use it as an argument to be angry with god, or not believe in god at all

it is humanity's problem to use it resources better an determine how resolve these problems.
