I'm sitting here alone browsing KB while watching the Tigers.    My daughter is with her grandparents at their vacation home in the thumb area of Michigan for the week.
My text alert on my phone goes off and I'm thinking it's the Tiger final score.   10 seconds later my text alert goes off again.    I look at it.   It's a text from Lin's 18 year old babysitter who happens to live around the corner.   It's a bathroom selfie and she's got her bikini top pulled down revealing her boobs.  And then, "You like?"  Another 15 seconds later she texts, "Oh my god, Mr. xxxxxx, obviously that wasn't meant for you. i am so sorry."   10 seconds later... "PLS, PLS, PLS DELETE."
I haven't replied.
Fig'd some of you guys might enjoy.
Our next meeting will be awkward.

Okay.   I never responded or anything to her text.  I just typed in the above message and put my phone on the charger.
She came knocking on my door just now and said, "Did you get my text?"   She looked scared shitless.
Not wanting to embarrass her I said, "No, I've been in the backyard, my phone is on the charger."
"Mr. xxxxxx, I sent you something and it was by accident.   You can't see it.  Can I delete it, please?"
I said, "Yeah, let me get it."
I got the phone, and in front of her I punched in the passcode and handed it to her.   She opened up messages and said, "It isn't marked as unread."
"Shit," I thought.
"You saw it, didn't you?"
I was like a deer in the headlights, then just nodded.   "Umm, yeah, I said I didn't because I didn't want you to be embarrassed."
She just put her head down, looked at my phone and deleted the picture.   "I'm so sorry," she said as she handed the phone back.
"Nothing to be sorry about.   I'm sorry I lied to you, but don't be embarrassed."
She turned around and walked out the door.
Yeah, awkward.

While you're waiting in vain for that apology, why don't you make yourself useful by getting on your knees and opening your mouth

Ahhh...You may have lost your babysitter.
You might want to start looking for another.
But you did do something right, you admitted that you saw her picture and it was deleted (further saving her from more embarrassment).
I don't think it would be wise to mention the picture to anyone else (ever).
Good Luck trying to fix this......"awkward, very very awkward comes to mind.

Love,
Liz

Thank you for the advice, Liz.

And now there's more developments...

First, I mentioned to another member in PM that I think she did it on purpose.   Whether she did or not, I don't know.   Just have a gut feeling.

Secondly, my sister-in-law Debbie, who moved into an upstairs bedroom in September to help me take care of Lin, well, she asked to borrow my iPad for the week while up at the cabin with her mom, dad and Lin.   So, I have my iPad setup to get my text messages.

So, Debbie called me madder than hell when she saw it.   I explained how I handled it and Debbie said, "That little skank whore sent it to you on purpose.  I know it Joe, I just fucking know it.   What the hell is wrong with her that she's flashing her tits to a guy 30 years older than her.  Unbelievable.    She's fucking done babysitting for Lin."

Yes Liz, I think I lost my sitter.  We have a couple of other girls though.

My response should have been:

"Yeah, I saw the text.  Nice tits, by the way.  Michelle wasn't nearly as impressed as I was; she got the text, too.  You can guess where this is headed... but it's been real nice having you as a babysitter."

I don't see anything wrong with an 18-year-old flashing a 50-year-old - I get stuff like that ALL the time.  Work, shopping malls, outside cutting the grass... it's one of the joys of getting more self-confident with age.  That's *my* best guess why they're interested.  Younger guys are too nervous, and WE got over that shit long ago.  We either go for it, or don't.  Right now.  We don't waffle about wondering.

Remember the Golden Rule: you do me, and I\'ll do you (paraphrased)

Joe, she may have sent it in error, it does happen when you press send and realise fuck! Debbie may have seen something in her though that raised alarm bells who knows.

Side note: Younger men should be given more credit, I find their older counterparts often total asses.

Isn't that the truth!

There are three kinds of people in the world. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Well, just got off the phone with the girls mom.   She called this morning and said that her daughter explained to her what she did.   The mother called to say that she and her daughter are deeply embarrassed by the whole thing.   And apologized profusely.   I insisted that no apologies were needed.  She went on to say that her daughter is in big trouble for her actions.
The girl and I would text frequently setting up times when I needed her to babysit, or at times when she was babysitting so I could let her know when I'd be home.   The mom explained to me how the error happened.   Seems the girl has been dating a guy with the same first name as mine.   Because of that, I tend to believe it was done in error.
The mother also added that her daughter didn't feel comfortable babysitting for Lin anymore.   So, I'm off the hook for letting her go - though I think sis-in-law Debbie was actually looking forward to handling that herself.

I'd have kept the photo as well, and I'm way purer than you!

---------------

In a similar "this just happened to me" vein, I had an odd experience a few days ago:

I was driving up to see my sister, and pulled over in a lay-bye to answer an email on my phone.  While I was sat there typing, the couple in the car in front of me changed seats.  She swapped from the passenger seat to the driver's seat, and he went the other way.

Nothing unusual there, except it was three in the afternoon, and she seemed to be wearing nothing but a man's shirt...

I got myself in gear (literally), and tried to catch them up to see if anything else interesting happened, but they must have been driving real fast, or turned off before I saw them.

I kind of hope that he was wriggling around and getting undressed in the passenger seat, that she was unfastening the rest of the buttons on the shirt as they drove, but I'm afraid we'll never really know - unless, dear reader, you were half-dressed on the A66 last Tuesday..?
