'It Was Never A Dress': Tech Company Axosoft Reimagines Symbol For Women's Toilets As A Superhero In A Cape

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2015/05/05/axosoft-womens-toilet-symbol-superhero_n_7213484.html?ir=UK+Lifestyle

Usually, when we see a silhouette wearing a triangle dress, we view it as a symbol for the closest women's toilets.

But one tech company has managed to change the way we'll see this universal sign forever.

As part of a new project titled It Was Never a Dress, staff at Axosoft have reimagined the classic ladies' room symbol.

Instead of a dress, their woman is a superhero wearing a cape.

The campaign image aims to empower women working in the tech industry, as well as inspire those not working in the field to challenge gender stereotypes.

"It Was Never a Dress is an invitation to shift perceptions and assumptions about women and the audacious, sensitive, and powerful gestures they make every single day," the campaign's website reads.

"In science, technology, arts, mathematics, politics, houses of worship, on the streets, and in our homes, insightful women are often uninvited, overlooked, or just plain dismissed."

In the coming weeks, Axosoft will be sharing stories and images of women that challenge stereotypes and highlight the difference between perception and reality.

Until then, we'll be looking at the ladies' loo very differently.

scuse me > it is about a dress. Capes don't matter. Dresses have access if she is into that. A woman in a dress and no bra or panties is every mans wet dream. Why would any man or woman disagree with that ?  IF > I am serious now > IF > we wanted anything > that is it!!!! Nothing is or can be more than that!  If a woman wanted to be a mans dream..do that. I promise you all> that is it<<<<<<<<

So....in order to placate my normal bathroom usage that so many political and religious people want to police and throw me in jail for nowadays (MtF Trans), all I'll have to do now is wear a cape? Cool... ;D

In my twisted world a dress  is like a super hero cape > more than access > a dress allows sooo much to work with

So ladies will keep walking past the "Superhero" bathroom looking for the ladies room until they wet themselves?

While you're waiting in vain for that apology, why don't you make yourself useful by getting on your knees and opening your mouth

Simple solution. For the men's room, have the skirt wearer raping a sheep. That'll clear things right up

A lot of little girls probably are. The vast majority of the girls in my kid's school love skirts, elvish dresses, princess dresses, Spanish flamenco dancer dresses etc. It's the little boys who are wearing the Superman, Batman and Zorro capes. I suppose there might be a minority of girls that want to dress up as Superman, but I haven't seen any yet. Nothing wrong with it either, but well, it's pretty weird to me to suddenly attribute a sort of Superman-like cape to a women's sign.

Soooo.......According to all the posts on this.....the "Cape" thing is just a waste of time and money. And that brings up another point, just how many stores / business are going to be willing to buy these "new" bathroom signs to replace perfectly good old ones.? (for the record, I don't see me running around in a cape very often, least of all while going to the bathroom).
 :D

Sshhhhh.....I don't like admitting that. It's almost as embarrassing as the other half of my ancestry (which I won't mention).

OH, you would like that, wouldn't you?    ;D
actually, no. From what I understand, a lot of males refuse to use a urinal because they are shy, so they spray all over the toilets instead.

I have enough problems with women who can't properly use a toilet without leaving behind a mess, why would I need more makers?

I don't like urinals because I hate pissing directly against a flat surface from inches away. Try pointing a hose at a wall and spraying, then see if you don't get a few drops on you.

Now the old school urinals were awesome. They went from about 3.5 feet high all the way to the floor. Allowed the urine to hit the surface at an angle, far away from the hands, minimizing the likelihood of spray back.
