2-cents, i'm sorry, that's billsh-t. "Reality" had not saved more lived than God has. That's a truely f-cked up point of view. I am not even going bother to break down how many lives God saved, and you forget what John 3:16 said, so you can't even count how many lives were saved because of that act on God's part.

How many wars have been started in the name of reality? How many people have been tortured to death because they refused to believe in things that are real?

As for John 3:16*, I see you and raise you 2 Kings 2:23-24, Psalm 50:22, Hosea 5:14...

(*Why do we always see this sign held up by spectators screaming for blood at the most violent of sporting events?)

I personally believe that murder in the name of a religion has more in common with football hooliganism than it does with religion itself. People have a nasty habit of devising ways to separate themselves from each other. Religious wars and nationalistic wars are essentially the same thing, two or more opposing sides who think their team is the best.

Napoleon said it best..."Religious Wars are nothing more than two sides fighting over who has the better imaginary friend".

Love,
Liz

Napoleon never said that.

He did say:

"God fights on the side with the best artillery."

"Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich."

"How can you have order in a state without religion? For, when one man is dying of hunger near another who is ill of surfeit, he cannot resign himself to this difference unless there is an authority which declares 'God wills it thus.' Religion is excellent stuff for keeping common people quiet."    — Napoleon Bonaparte.

There are three kinds of people in the world. Those who can count, and those who can't.

That quote is often attributed to Napoleon, but the most reliable source I can find is "Johnny Utah" in Point Break...

That doesn't lessen the accuracy of the comment, though.
