Sophie is pregnant.
She already has a six year old son, and now is expecting (she's in her in third trimester).
I wish her well, I think it's great.....
Oh yeah, for those that don't know it....She happens to be in a same sex relationship.......that's right.   :D
She's one of us. Eat your heart out boys.!!!

Never heard of her, but when I read stories of women artificially conceiving after 40, that is just beyond my scope of understanding.

Awesome news! The first song I heard from her was "as i lay me down". She has an intimate approach to her musical approach.

That's very likely true. But my point -- and Bexy's -- was about our inability to understand why a woman would artificially conceive at that age. It carried no judgement of her actions, or of her intentions.

And, for the record, Sophie B. Hawkins isn't gay, nor is she in a relationship, nor is her unborn child the fruit of a relationship. She's bisexual, and she's single. She made her decision alone, and used frozen embryos she's had in storage for 20 years.

At 46 I can't imagine becoming a mother, doing it on my own wouldn't even be a consideration.

I'll have to look for soem recent photos of Sophie. She had posed for some artistic nude photos [and I do mean full frontal] around the time she was on the music charts.
I always preferred "As I Lay Me Down", which spent 30 weeks in the Billboard Hot 100 compared to "Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover" at 17 weeks. Heehee, I remember a silly montage during an episode of Baywatch using that song. :P

Not to "nitpik", but she was born November 1, 1967, only 47. Two things i've learned: Never ask a women her age, and if you're going to go public with a woman's age, get it right. Most women never want to be labeled older than they are.

Most news articles that are covering her story are saying she is 50. So that is just the media exageration.
