If toe actually gave two shits about the children he’d be fighting this from another angle. Instead you and him fight it from “what about the kids”. There are so many ways that kids die. How about drugs? Don’t those kids matter to you? How about the kids that are neglected? The kids that starve? Nope all your focus is on is a relatively small amount of people killed by bad/evil people with firearms or negligence on behalf of the parents. Again, my kids shoot every week with me. The firearm doesn’t make you an more or less safe. My wife, kids, and household are proof of this and this is just one household. There are many more like me. I also have way more firearms than the average household so the amount doesn’t even matter on safety either.

My state requires guns to be locked up if there are kids in the house.  It also requires taking a class such as an NRA one in order to buy a handgun.  I got no problem with either.  I actually think the class was way too easy.

For at least every ‘good guy/gal’ story there’s one or more of kids finding guns and shooting themselves or someone else, or some father that shoots the ‘intruder’ climbing in a window just to find out his son had snuck out of the house.
