"Clearly True" when it's false doesn't make it true. Trained gun owners get killed all the time. The presence of their gun doesn't make them any safer. Their training, and the ability to act, when they have the ability to act sometimes works out, but it usually doesn't, because if the person KNOWS they have a gun, they shoot first. Or poison them, or hit them over the head with a bottle from behind.
Confirmation Bias, all you have to do is find 1 guy that got lucky, with a gun, and that makes everything you said true.
Clearly True only if you ignore Everything else that happens around you. Guns don't make people safer, they make them more dangerous. You'd have to be insane to think otherwise.
It's not an Amulet of Protection, it's a tool. By the same logic, owning a hammer makes you more likely to build a house.
