Psiberzerker-funny how sure you were about the 5” “artillery” gun. I actually watched one go bang with my own 2 eyes. See your game is a real waist of your time. With your Wikipedia and google tho, you are the man ...too bad it let you down this time :emot_laughing:

{Checks back.}

Well, looks like you still don't have anything new to add.

I'll check back again later...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooting_of_Jemel_Roberson

A security guard, and legal gun owner, shot by police, in the commission of stopping a gunfight.  Apprehending a suspect, without his gun drawn.  After being told by another police officer, that he was a security guard helping them with the gun fight.

That was a good guy, with a gun.  Shot by police, for doing the good guy with a gun thing.  By the book, he was studying to become a police officer.

That's the reality here.  That's not the "GGWAG" fantasy, where you never miss, you never hit innocent bystanders, and nobody was traumatized, because you where there with your gun.  (Assuming the Bad Guys don't shoot you first, because you're the greatest threat at the scene, and they showed up planning to commit a shooting.)

Being a Good Guy isn't enough.  Neither is having a gun.  Being white certainly seems to help.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7698537/Three-people-dead-shooting-Oklahoma-Walmart.html

A man shot and killed his estranged wife and her new boyfriend in a Walmart parking lot in Oklahoma before turning the gun on himself when an armed citizen intervened.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a man wearing all black opened fire outside the supercenter in Duncan, which is located at 3393 North 81 Highway. Duncan is about 80 miles south of Oklahoma City.

Officers from the Duncan Police Department said the wife and her boyfriend were found dead inside their car.

Family members at the scene say the shooting was sparked by a domestic dispute between the woman and her husband, but didn't go into further details.

So he didn’t prevent the murders, and he didn’t prevent the suicide.  Did he cause the suicide?  What are we celebrating?  Other than your twisted logic?

Presence of the CC person, and his GUN, deterred further violence against random persons. Kept the damage to just those already involved.

Do you want me to reply, or not?  Since that's what I do, do you want me to do that, or continuing not to, Joan?  TBPH, it kinda looks like you accused me of auto-replying because you made 2 posts in a row, and I just didn't fucking care.

To be perfectly honest, I'm really fucking tired of this thread.  That's why I didn't reply.  You guys have fun...

Beauty Supply Store Clerk Kills One,
As Other Robber Fled Her Store

The Beacon Journal identified the deceased suspect as 19-year-old Ameer Majed Ismail. Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office Chief Investigator Gary Guenther indicated Ismail was shot in the head.

Knowing anyone in public may be armed, willing to intervene if provoked, perhaps, should make for a more circumspect, polite, society.

Meanwhile, most Concealed Carry Citizen interventions are never reported, or publicized, which is OK as well. Especially the case I think with Open Carry.

Some need a reminder to BEHAVE civilly, which can be OK, too.

:It still comes down to, how does the average person determine a good guy if a weapon is displayed? Could 2 or more good guys confront each other? To what result?

Wanton use, brandishing a firearm, threatening another, fall into 'Uncivil' behavior, imho, and are not desired, or to be tolerated.

The possession of a firearm by a law abiding citizen is not a crime, nor should it be. The individual takes the responsibility to behave in a civil manner, can be expected to so behave, and should be expected to so behave.

So this 20 year old that washes dishes at the bar/restaurant I frequent was arrested for threatening to shoot people at Towson State University.  He’s been expelled from the school and now out on bail wearing an ankle monitor.  I didn’t ask the owner when I saw him yesterday, but I expect he needs a new dishwasher.

My friend says his daughter said she always knew he’d get arrested for something like that.

Certainly hope he did not have a CCW license. Ankle monitors are not infrequent in restaurant kitchens, or fast fool kitchens or counter Staff.

London Bridge Scene Of Terrorist Put Down
Sometimes it takes a gun to put an end to criminal/terrorist behavior.
  Even in the UK.

Tl;tr

The armed cops then ordered members of the public to step away from the "tall bearded" man before he was shot by one of the firearms officers about 2 p.m.

"He made his way on to London Bridge but was eventually pinned down by heroes who tackled him with a fire extinguisher and a whale tusk."
