Sure there’s over simplification but there’s also over complicating.
Of course there are, but that's not what I was doing.
Because of these reactions people can blame things that are not the problem.
So, don't blame anyone, nor anything. Pointing to something, and saying "There's yer problem" is wrong, because it assumes that that 1 thing, or those people are The problem, and we don't have to talk about anything else. Which is wrong.
It’s kinda the way we were made.
The human nature assumption.
It’s what’s helped us last this long.
We were not "Made" with guns, nor very effective natural weapons, of any kind. So, we created weapons, to kill each other, "Better." So, what. Blame nature for not giving the weapons to be strong, and dominate Nature? We might as well blame nature for giving us the intellectual capacity to create weapons, dominate, and eventually destroy nature. Or, better yet, we can identify the Causes of problems, and look for solutions.
Not having enough guns is not the cause of any problems, in America, because we have more than enough guns for every man, woman, and child to have one. Not having powerful enough guns isn't a thing, either. So, we can eliminate that possibility as one of the causes too, then move on to things which actually exist, as possible causes of some of our systemic social, anti-social, and cultural problems.
Gun culture, and violent psychotics are things we do have, and they appear to be destructively violent, when mixed. So, I submit that keeping the violent psychotics away from the tools they desire, to hurt, and kill people "Better" might work towards some sort of solution, to some of our problems. You see how the thought process works, when someone who's actually thought about it, logically walks you through it? It's called Troubleshooting. Don't look that up.
It’s about survival.
All right, then tell me about the survival of the children, in schools.
Also it doesn’t matter if it’s a hi-power or a 5” artillery gun.
It does make a difference, in destructive power, however. Incidentally, I worked on the (Hydraulic) recoil buffers for self propelled Howitzers at Fort Sill. So, what can you tell me about artillery guns? Because we don't have a 5" one, and we never did. The British Navy did, however.
