With two games left in the regular season both teams are tied for the lead in their division at 10-4. Packers were beat by a former Bear QB, Kyle Orton, yesterday.  Bet the Bears are wishing they had him instead of their current QB. Anyone but the Packers!

So Chicago hates the cheese heads as much as we do here in Detroit? I'd be happier seeing the bears than Green Bay

That's not true.  There is big faction of fans in Chicago that are idiots.  They hold on to and praise meaningless and stupid things such as Mike Ditka, the '85 Bears, "fire and passion," and "Bear weather" to name a few things.  Most intelligent Chicago sports fans mock these dimwits we call "meatballs," and their non-intelligent views on sports.

Better sport fans recognize other teams' greatness and respect it.  They aren't neanderthals about it.

I think the longest rivalry in the NFL is between Green Bay and Chicago so no love lost among the fans.

I still hate Green Bay!  Sorry but this goes all the way back to being a kid with family in the U.P. They cheered green and we cheered blue. Always a fun time when they played each other.

Coach, it is not so much hate as it is, least for me, seeing other teams get a chance to advance maybe to the Super Bowl.  Detroit has the talent and injured key players are now back healthy.  As for the Bears, I would trade Bears QB Cutler for Aaron Rogers in a heart beat.  Him and Brady from the Pats are probably the two best QBs going now and the Lion's Stafford is no slouch either.

I really don't follow football much other than what I hear on sports talk radio. I watch most Lions games or at the least follow the score on the phone if we are out.

Green Bay and the Bears have always been big rivalries against the Lions but the reality is that it's been a long time since the Lions have really had any kind of a team that mattered at the end of the season. This year is no different. They may be 10 and 4 but the reality is that they will probably lose the next 2 and finish 10-6, make it to the playoff's and lose in the first round like so many other years past.

We have a good talent base but just not clicking as a unit week in and week out. 1 touchdown last week is not the signs of a good team

Coach - since Da Bears play your Lions on Sunday and they just benched their multi-million QB for one that hasn't started in four years, I am guessing the Lions will be 11-4 come Sunday night.  The tough game for the Lions will be the following week when they play the Packers.

A Lions win and a Packers lose put the Lions winning our division no matter the outcome of the last game. Go figure.

Why did the Bears bench the QB. I knew they did but never heard why

Butting In (but on subject).

He is/was incompetent, terrible and showed no winning attitude. I had mentioned this to Watcher when Dallas beat the Bears.

Congratulations, Bryce, on your Lion's win!

As the football season progressed, Jay Cutler, the Bears QB, pretty much regressed, or sure didn't show anyone he was worth the 120 million dollar, 54 million guaranteed for seven years the Bears were paying him. He was not only the brunt of all the local sports writers complaints but also of the national television football announcers.  Plus, the season is pretty much lost now so if the Bears have hopes of trading Cutler, least he will be healthy.

And never bet against stace.  She knows her sports.  8)

Not entirely true.  There is a power struggle between head coach Marc Trestman and general manager Phil Emery.    Emery is pissed about the handling of comments offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer made to the media, and why Trestman didn't fire him immediately.   Benching Cutler is Trestman's way of getting back at Emery.  Emery possibly will lose his job,  Trestman is already a dead man walking.  The Bears never do anything the right way, this is just another example of a dysfunctional front office at Halas Hall.
