Good guys with guns have ended the attack by what Associated Press calls a self styled Imam, where a large number of hostages were taken yesterday in downtown Sydney, Australia, at a Chocolatier shop. He carried a black flag with gibberish about the only God being Mohammad, and demanded a ISIS Flag in negotiations with Australian authorities. He threatened his hostages with a shotgun.

I think Joan makes a valid point. Her post is clearly intended to be satirical and, as such, it succeeds.
To be sure, the whole Obama-As-Crypto-Muslim thing is laughable -- and flat-out wrong. As are her (and many others') accusations of Obama's conspiring to promote Islam at the expense of Christian religions.
However, she's correct that the media are tying themselves in knots trying to downplay the ISIS connection -- regardless of whether it's real or simply in this deranged man's mind. And, in general, the media has been downplaying the genuine threat that ISIS has and continues to pose.
Add to that, I agree -- up to a point -- that both in the the media and in general public discourse, the effort not to judge all Muslims by the actions of radical Muslims, who represent a tiny percentage of all Muslims worldwide, has led some to downplay, or even deny, the role that some Muslims have played in the commission of acts of terror and even mass murder (e.g. the attack on a Pakistani school yesterday that left over 100 children dead).
In other words, rather than mocking Joan for this post, I give her props. Well, qualified props at least...

really took this long for someone other than myself to see Joans comment as satirical?! Perhaps a few people should look up Websters definition of satire? Oh wait. One has to have an intrinsic understanding of the word 'humor' first.
