Got a notice from our bank that our checking account was being changed from a premium type account with no fees to a regular account. We always have a balance of several thousand between all our savings and the checking acct.

With blood in my eyes I marched into the closest branch arguments all rehearsed in my head. I had a deposit to make and before demanding to see someone in charge I asked if they were doing this to all the accounts.

"No", she replied as she made my deposit, "Not this account, but your other checking account."

"My other account? We only have the one checking account."

"Nope, there's the other account and that's the one that's being changed."

Now totally puzzled Alli could do is stand there and gape. The teller said you have a second checking account. There was $850.00 and change in it.
Well I had the new found money transferred to our regular checking account and forgot all my arguments for why our checking account shouldn't be changed.

As to how the money will be spent...it will go a long way to bringing our daughter and son-in-law out here for a visit this summer I hope. Depends on their plans I guess.

Sounds like everybody is doing awesome!! People getting extra monies, and I'm losing monies. Only because I haven't been working, at least not at my job. I've been up at my Aunt and Uncles cabin with my cousin the last couple days. They haven't been able to get up there and get in ready, so my cousin volunteered, and asked if I wanted to go with him. Ger away while mother's day is happening for obvious reasons. Normally I go iver to dad's, and I celebrate him leaving my mother. And as I always, he tells me the only good thing about her was she gave him me!!

Anyways, I called work, and got people to switch days with me, and then called dad, told him what was going to happen, and he was happy I'd be doing it, so off I went. There is absolutely no reception there. It's so bad, they had to get a land line to make calls to people. Only people I know who still have an answering machine. If you drive 2 miles north the the small store, and town, you can get a decent signal, but that's about it without driving half hour 45 minutes from the cabin.

While there, he was working on getting everything flushed out, and undoing all the winter proofing, I have zero idea what it all was, my task was simple cleaning. Making sure all the critters and bugs were all cleared out, both dead and alive.

On Sunday, EVERYBODY showed up. It was the largest gathering of my family that I can remember. Everybody on the good side of my family was there, as well some family friends. The Ultimate K********* Family Mother's Day Bash. I had bought my Aunt a Mother's day gift, but I wasnt expecting the party, so I didnt have it with me. It was an complete spur of the moment thing too. My Uncle asked my Aunt, and then they just started making calls Saturday evening, and the around noon sunday, people started showing up. It was an absolute blast.

Ditto. The worst thing about having a landline is that people assume it's a cell number. On May 1, my wife got a summons to serve on a grand jury. I filled out her online juror response, pointing out that she was over seventy and should be excused.

Hadn't heard from the court after 10 days so I emailed and asked if she was excused (supposedly it's automatically granted if you're 70 or older, at least in this state) but my experience in the past is that they confirm that you've been excused.

Email answer said they texted her phone the same day they received her response form, confirming that she was excused.

Wife's phone is connected to the computer so I guess that's kinda land line. Always hearing from people who want to send her a text.

We've pretty much got all her medical calls switched to come to my phone now after spending time getting the calls to go to her phone.

Guess things always come full circle.

Had our second home health care visit. First one was last week. A couple hours sure helps. By next week I'm hoping we'll be on a regular schedule and I'll have two -
3 1/2 visits.

Guess they are having a hard time fitting me in but I'm sure they will get there. Both people have been wonderful. Friendly and hard working.

It's to break down that I get 4 hours a week health care and three hours cleaning. So far it's been some cleaning and a bit of laundry.

A lot of State Bar forms and functions require giving a fax number. I haven’t used a paper fax machine in 15 years. All service of papers and process is now done manditorily through Texas e-File. So why the requirement of a fax number? SMH. I last had a land line in 2009.

Bunch out with our friend K. Her husband was my best friend who died last October. An enjoyable time out then we went back to her place. Watched some TV and played with her dog.

A most enjoyable day with two wonderful women... one of them my wife.

I had a talk with Allan, and I'll cut to the chase, I can stay at KB.

He didnt know about it, and since I've shared quite a bit about him here, I wanted him to know. I had been putting it off, and putting it off, but having talked with a few people here, and IRL. I just got it done with. Obviously he was less than thrilled about the pics, but I assured him, I never showed my face in any of those, and I'm definitely not meeting up with anybody here. It's just a fun place where I can Express myself with like minded people.

I said he could log in with my profile and snoop around, but he said he'd rather not see exactly what I've been doing. He feared, and half expected me to tell him I'd been sleeping around, so "Visiting a forum is kind of a relief". I had told him shortly after we started sleeping with each other, that I tell my friends in Milwaukee EVERYTHING, and he was not surprised by that. I think he actually likes it. I think that since I do tell them, he gets a little more adventurous and dominant, just so I have something juicy to tell them. He did not admit to it, but I still have my suspicions. The fact I tell then, might have eased the blow about what I share here. He did asking if I talk about some details, which I assured him I did not, and would not. I said he can log on as me any time he wants, and see what has been posted.

This was not a quick talk. It started sunday Evening, and it continued through texts, and "finished" yesterday evening. I told him all about my horrid past, and he opend up about some things that surprised me. Some of which, I might see myself getting into as well. I dont think the talk will truly be over as long as I'm here. He has his stress relievers, and this is one of mine. It's obviously a lot different than hunting or fishing, but it is what it is.

Iver been working on two stories. One I had started before, but deleted, but now started it again, and another chapter with Sheila and Diane, but it doesn't feel right. Works in progress.

I think that was a bold move on your part and it helped Allen open up with things he needed to tell you.

After 30+ years together I know there's things the wife and I haven't shared. For instance I'd never be able to explain KB to her. One of the things that I find myself thinking about is when "my time comes", who would I get to let you people know about it

I agree with this is s a stress reliever.
