 Hanging on to the grocery cart keeps me mobile as I cruise the aisles and the exercise is good for me. Dang it tho. When I get home there's usually one or two extra things that fell into the cart. I think they make the shelves tilt and if you get too close........

I never go to the self checkout. I want a real person and in most cases we can exchange pleasant comments.
There will come a day tho' when I will need the delivery or pick-up services. (Big sigh)

WOO and Amen, quote for truth. Evermans is another store I wont shop at here. I absolutely hate self checkout. Go into Circle K for a quick grapico and slim jim, and getting charged 12 bucks. Never again. What is the point of self check out if the damned things fuck up, requiring an actual employee to fix? Why not keep the bored looking check out people employed and skip the hassle?

I love self checkout.  I don't like dealing with cashiers.

I love that Aldi's have added them both here and in Florida.

But when I do have an issue, it's hell trying to explain what happened.  But Dan is with me most of the time so no big deal. 
Kroger I have issues at all the time.  Meijer is my main shopping center.  They have an app I can scan as I put it in the cart.  They are the easiest.

Its a love it or leave it thing, as much as I dont like them, being able to quick pay and scan is nice if I am only getting a few things. but most times i use the regular checkout.

The oldest coming home from her road-trip today.  Missed her so much.  Dans making chili for her and the Michigan- Michigan State game.  7:30 tonight.  M plans on getting home around 3:30.  Can't wait.

Celebrating my oldest daughter's and my brother's birthday today. Youngest daughter's birthday is in 11 days (ex wife want kids 2 years apart and I fucking missed by that much  :emot_laughing: )

What truly made my day today, besides the double birthdays in my family, was picking up my new Mexican temporary resident card. I'm now legally allowed to stay in Mexico for three more years. At that point, I can apply for permanent residency which never has to be renewed.Are we going to go for Mexican citizenship. Probably not. I doubt that our Spanish will ever be good enough for that. But the only thing citizenship gives you that residency doesn't is the right to vote.
