I watched all 10 links of it.  Skipped a head a lot, but she has nothing to be ashamed of. Nor he.
I laughed when she said, "They want you to cream pie, babe,"
He looks at the camera and says, "That's not happening guys."

She is lovely, hope she gets elected.  I can't vote but she gets a virtual woooooooooo

Princess, would you like to see it light up and hum when I wave it about

So yesterday I clicked on a link Obi posted. It was to a site of the video the politician and her hubby live streamed. Next thing I knew I had endless.spam messages. I couldn't just turn off the phone as I'm always getting calls and messages about my.various medical appointments.

This morning I was able to get to my Verizon store. The tech guy.took my phone, gave it one look, open up something a clicked on something and handed the hone back to me.

All the warnings and threats to shut down my phone stopped...poof! Screw you Google...here I thought you were safe. Even had some porn come through. I resisted clicking on those too.

All that hassle and worry and just one button post..

The trick is knowing which button. :emot_laughing:

Sorry about that Bob.  I never use my phone for porn, just Mac mainly and iPad occasionally.  I did warn about pop-ups on that site but didn't realise they infected a phone.  Apologies again
 :emot_bottomspank:

Don't think it was you. Just a Google setting got turned on.

I spent most of the afternoon and early evening sitting outside on my zero gravity chair in shorts and bikini top rereading the wheel of time to fix all the f*ck up Amazon prime made, and getting some sun... IN OCTOBER!!!  84° sunny and beautiful!! I'll take it. Its completely unnatural, but that didnt stop me from enjoying it.

Went with my wife Monday to her appointment with her therapist who's helping with tips as her vision loss gets worse. I got upset as the last person she saw spent all the time on technology to help even though we kept saying she's not good with tech.

So this time I bluntly stated we didn't want to hear about anything electronic. Therapist said she understands. Her next word was Alexa. She went on to.say all Alexa could do with voice commands.

Put the app on the phone yesterday and played with it some. Ordered one of the Echo Dots which came a couple hours ago. Wife's taking to it like a pro.
Already using the timer for dinner and knows how to start grocery list, something that's hard now with her sight. Guess I'll be walking around the store with my phone in my hand. Still much to learn but working well so far.

There are a lot of people who have an overly paranoid approach to information technology and tech. The truth of the matter is, this has been going on for 25-30 years now. Even the people who insist they are “off the grid” are not off the grid. If you have a phone, use a credit card, have a bank account, interact with government in anyway, from car registration to family law, to a criminal case, you’re in the system, and all of that data is being stacked and sorted in microseconds. If anybody needs to know something about you, there’s a 99% chance that it will be available.

I say that only as a background comment to your wife’s experience with Alexa. Enjoy it. I hope it works for you. And don’t let any of the conspiracy theorists convince you that this is a bad thing. This is the reality of life in the 21st-century. We stopped writing on clay tablets a long time ago.

Glad Alexa is working for her.  It's a wonderful tool. She'll be a pro in no time.

Snail mail brought us a class action settlement check for $200. Yay! Free money. That was enough to make my day, but wait, there's more.

We actually got 3 separate envelopes with checks in them. One was made out to the missus, one to our son, and a third to my brother-in-law. Both of those guys lived with us for a spell.

Texted our son and he'll be over this weekend to pick his up. The one for my brother-in-law was a little more problematic. He died seven years ago. I was gearing up to call the lawyers and try to convince them to send a check made out to my wife, his executor.

Just before I picked up the phone, I decided to try and solve it locally. I took his check, his death certificate and a court document that certified my wife as his executor to our credit union. After I explained the whole situation the lady went back to talk to her supervisor and came back about two minutes later and said they were going to allow me to deposit his check along with ours.

Yay! More free money.

Like finding money in the wash machine. Well, I wasn't expecting that". Why he has loose bills in his pocket, I will never know.  I look at it as my pay for doing the laundry.

I git a class action check also.   From a Lifelock lawsuit . Wasn't much, but, Free Money.

I do some probate law and estate planning. And it really is important to have a good relationship with your local bank. They can make your life a living hell, or be relatively easy to deal with. I’m so glad you got the second kind.

Next time, just endorse the check properly and deposit it. Nine times out of ten there won’t be a problem. In Texas it would be: “brother-in-law’s name, by wife’s name, independent administrator of the estate of brother-in-law’s name.”  With online banking, you don’t even have to go down to the bank to do that. If they reject it, then set up the meeting.

Free money is good.

Congrats to both of you. That is an amazing accomplishment.

When I was in the Army I had to do a 12 mile truck march with a 15lb rucksack. When I finished, my quadriceps were numb and my feet were bleeding. At that moment I swore I would never travel anywhere more than 10 miles by foot. Any farther and I'm driving with my heated seats on.

Daughter sent me a text this morning wishing wife and I a Happy 33rd Anniversary.

The joy that message brought was happened by the fact I forgot. When I tried to say I was  sorry for forgetting our day she gave me a what day is it?

Don't know if it's old age or we're just that comfortable with each other that anniversaries are no big deal. Of course that also meant I forgot daughter's.and hubby's anniversary... lucky 13.

They got married on 10/10/10 at 10:10 AM.

Absolutely loving my French Press for my coffee.

Next step, I almost used all of my Dunkin coffee.   I'm going to start grinding beans.   I've always been a Dunkin or Maxwell House drinker.  I need to up my game.

What's a good bean to grind?
Is Eight O'Clock coffee good?

Buy beans from the grocery bins. I like French Roast. Something with a lot of oil on the bean. I bag my own and use a grinder. No telling how long ago that stuff in the coffee aisle has been sitting in the bag.  Up your game baby.

We ground our own years ago then wife decided it was too much work.   Was so much better.

We got beans from the bulk bins in the grocery store. Our best was to mix half and half French Roast and Columbian fifty fifty..

Still playing with Alexa and it's already helping my wife do things she hasn't been able to do. Most important she can make phone calls when I'm gone. ( Yeah, Alexa copied my contacts right away) Also setting timer, getting the time and playing music. Much More to learn.

This morning I thought I'd mess with Alexa.

I said, "Alexa, open the pod bay doors."

She said, "I can't do that Dave. And I'm not Hal and we're not in space."

So now an AI is in charge here
