What made my day:

Everyone on KB, Love you all.

Watched my truck and my supervisors brand new F150 get demolished by a direct sales customer who lied out of his teeth about his ability to move a heavy bulldozer 20 feet to the trailer, which was too small to carry it. I called my insurance agent, and they sent me a loaner vehicle, which is a nice ass excursion. Might ask to just sell me the Excursion and cut me a small check. My boss now has the guys nuts on her wall, oh he is going to pay us HARD. I miss my truck, but she is in a better place. Also he has to pay the company to replace an almost twenty foot section of a wrought iron fence. Luckily I had the common sense to see the jackass fail at moving the bulldozer to get out of my truck and to safety when he crashed through the fence.

Lunch I was invited to a private lunch with upper management. They want to sue the guy and his company hard, and asked if I needed anything. I shrugged while eating my steak. They also were talking in a few years, if things improve, I might get to join them on the top floor, "If I play my cards right." Dunno much about the top floor, except the vending machines have expensive imported snacks and there is a rumor they have a barista on staff up there making pro coffee. I just smiled and shrugged, my career goals do not match with me being upper management, but it kind of made me feel good to know someone was notice my nose on the grindstone.

Had to call my sister to come pick me up from work and the girls from school because my brothers are asshats, and were at work, and my wife got called in on an emergency delivery. But despite my fuck it bucket being full, I was kind of at peace today.

Also wanted to tell you all thank you for being awesome and putting up with my nonsense.

So sorry about the crushed truck. Glad to see your attitude is good enough for you to post about in What Made My Day. That you give KB some of the credit helping you deal with this shows healing power of prevision. :emot_laughing:

Looking forward to hearing about your new vehicle when you get it. Bet I could handle a bulldozer BTW. Wanna give me a chance when you get your new truck. ;D

Man, when I get my new vehicle I will pick you all up and we can do that redneck using a backhoe as a lake swing thing. The problem with that bulldozer was that its not the standard construction site one. We told him that it was an earth mover, not a jobsite easy clean up machine. Sadly this was not the first time asshats damaged employee vehicles at our company. But to bold face lie that you have the certs and qualifications to operate a machine that is wholly not like a vehicle. I will know next week if I can even get a vehicle on what the companies insurance with my full coverage will offer, since my truck is only a handful of years from being an antique. But yeah, I could ask the garage to let you tool around in a smaller bulldozer, not really that hard, probably going to have them take the scoop off though. because they have one they use to tractor pull stubborn equipment into the shop with. I never used one before because the seats are not comfy. This is why every yearly meeting everyone bitches to upper management to move Direct Sales into the back forty of the company's property, since there is an unused service road back there, and it will keep the children with their toys from finally knocking the building down. 3 times some jerk who thought they knew better hit a building while loading a piece of equipment.

This is why rental companies exist. Because owning is a hell of a lot harder than renting. One of the rental companies we are tied to even has a labor pool of operators that have all their credentials so that you dont have to look like the god king of all douche bags. Direct sales doesnt, basically buyer assumes all risks and responsibilities. We used to make buyers provide the papers to prove you can and in fact are licensed to operate heavy machinery, but people complained about it and the worst of it was they would just nab someone who could and take off with it, but always end up not using the operator. And then you get the home owners with a large plot of land to clear wanting a Bobcat (which is a hell of a lot easier to operate over the heavier machines.) who want one so bad, and then return a week later to return it because it does not work. It does not work because it does not run on magic and fairy farts. We do not fuel the machines, as most people who buy the heavy equipment usually has a fuel truck on site. We tell them that they will need to stop and buy diesel for them, and they look at us like we just shit on their birthday cake. We USED to fuel them up, but people assume that they can just come back to refuel it. We only fuel them enough to prove that they run. We service them, as long as they are under warranty, but fueling is not our responsibility. you by a 20 ton machine, you best have a fuel truck or service. But thats why we toss in a large jerry can for the bobcat sales, just to politely let them know that there is not enough fuel in it to do any long time work.

But you all here on KB could not fathom the many times you all kept me out of jail or a straight jacket. Thats why I have nothing but love for you all.

Sorry to hear about the truck.  I loved my Explorer, adored my Exhibition, think I would love an Excursion.  I don't think it would fit in my garage though.
Nice that upper mngt is taking notice of you. :)

This one is nice as all hell, and yeah its big. Kind of reminds me of that MAD tv skit about the soccer mom who almost runs over a little old lady, and they play up the size of the vehicle. wife and I christened it last night, and I must not lie and say, that you could comfortably hold an orgy in it if you remove all of the back seats. not much of the van rocking action though as its pretty stable, which was a let down to think someone walking their dog could see this big suv rocking, but it didn't.

I was a little skeptical at first about upper management, figuring they were buttering me up so I wont sue for damages. But the biggest life advice I live by is "Don't crap where you eat." I like this job, so suing never entered my mind. But If I do not get my money, the guy who wrecked my baby is going to get taken to the cleaners twice.

I had three Ford Explorers, all Eddie Bauer editions, and then a Ford Escape hybrid. By the time my kids were all in high school, I really didn’t need an SUV anymore. And because I travel so much with work, I switched to a more gas efficient sedan. But I did love the Explorer.

Dinner out with visiting daughter, her husband and wife's son. Went to favorite Italian restaurant and really filled up. The day was topped off with perfect weather.

Food was great, conversation lighthearted and my daughter was happy to be with wife's son again. They text a lot when she's back in New York.

We even had some good yuks over the old lady wanting to help me out of the car.

It's Halloween.  Slutty Witch (but not too slutty).  Can't show too much cleavage handing out candy.  Okay, we'll call it Fashionable Witch.

Oh, also, Barbs PM to me made my day.

Great night last night. We were able to defend the home from various spooky little creatures. At one time I was worried about our supply of ammunition. The candy supply did hold up and I was pleased to see there is still some left in case of a sweet tooth attack.

It was a fun Halloween. First to arrive were the two little girls who live a few houses from us. They're four and five now. Youngest was Cinderella accompanied by her mouse friend, complete with a hunk of rubber cheese. They had the dog along for protection and he had a fur neck piece making him look like a lion.

The evening continued with lots of other great costumes. All the kids were well behaved and made sure to say thanks for their treat. Even as the older kids (still grade school age) I was happy to see a mom or dad along, some of them in costume.

One lad was dressed as that Grim Reaper. He had a mesh cloth covering his face even. I asked how he could see to get around. A voice from the dark said, "He has his cow to guide him."  I looked up to see mom in a full body cow suit. Talk about being in the spirit.

All in all it was a fun evening and we had a great time treating our visitors.

Same here. Mild weather brought out the trick or treaters in droves. We had about 120 kids that stopped by us between the hours of 4 and 8pm. The weather was so mild, we sat out on the steps enjoying all the many costumes. Our pick for #1 costume was a young boy dressed as Beetlejuice. His parents had the make-up and costume down perfectly.

No slutty witch though. You would have gotten extra candy, MJ .  8)

This morning, no smashed pumpkins, broken eggs or toilet paper on our property so that makes our day!

Today is Dia de los Muertes - the day of the dead. The main celebrations here in La Paz are taking place not too far from here. Neither Mrs JBRG nor I are fans of crowds so we will probably pass on the parade and such.

A friend has asked us to check in on his place as he has left today for 2-3 weeks back in Canada. He has a pool. Me thinks we will be spending a lot of time there  ;D

That is all.

Sounds like you're a good friend keeping such a close eye on things.

In Zihuatanejo (maybe other places) Valentine's Day was huge. We stayed away from local areas and stuck to tourist spots that day.

Once we got there on Valentine's Day and I went downtown for Pesos from the ATM. Every one I tried was empty. Finally, las bank I tried had Pesos. Was sweating it for a bit.

We used the nipple suction thingys the other night.   At first it was uncomfortable.  I hated the look of these contraptions on my boobs.  But then all of the sudden, some really intense feelings started as Dan worked his magic orally.  Wow!!!!!
After my happy time, they came off.  Holy sensitivity. His tongue worked his magic on my nipples and I was like a fish flopping around.
It def made my day.

Happy to be back home after another 1200 mile road trip. About 2400 all around. Sounds like you all had some pretty good time while I was away. Sorry about your truck WB and hope whatever comes next is great.

You've peaked my interest with those little toys Jules, may inquire more about them.

As for my trip... knocked two things off my bucket list. Seeing Niagara Falls and spending Halloween in Salem MA. Amanda, Shannon and myself decided we were going and we were going to drive. So much trou le happens on flights now afays wed spare ourselves that, and it allowed us to have a vehicle once we got there. We also figured costs would be about the same.

Anyways. I have to say that driving through Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut in October is stunning and jaw dropping beautiful. The colors and landscape left me in awe. We were all struck with the beauty. Wisconsin is passed peak color season and most leaves have fallen, and we weren't not expecting to see such beauty during the road trip. So so happy we drove.

Niagara falls wasnt on our plan, but we were driving a half hour away from it through buffalo and I said it's not that we should go see it. We have to go see it. So with a quick detour and Shannon FREAKING OUT going over that huge bridge we got to see those massive efalls in person. It was not what I was expecting. I was by no means disappointed just thought it was wider and more open. I loved being there seeing it first hand. We didnt stay long because we still have several hours on the road.

Shannon HATES bridges. There was also one in New York on I-90 that runs along a train bridge that she nearly had a panicked attack over. She shut her eyes real tight and we hit a bump. Amanda said we were across, she opened them and then scream and yelled, "Oh, you fucking bitches!" We had a great laugh about that... well Amanda and I did anyways.

Two other things we didn't expect to see was a van burning on the side of the road in Ohio I think it was. The heat actually reached us on the other side of the highway as we drove passed. It was crazy, and it kind of triggered me from when I was in the Army. We also saw a traffic jam that must have been 10 miles long. People just stuck not moving sitting on the road and on the guard rails. Not sure what caused it, but it was massive. Feel bad for all those people, but glad we were going the other way.

Boston... boston doesn't go here. Boston goes in ruined my day...

Salem was crazy fun. Costumes, great food, delicious drinks, a coffee shop that stays open late at night. Walking tours and haunted houses. It was everything I was expecting and more. Street performers and shops to buy more witch stuff. Visited graveyards of those murdered during the witch trials and some of the more haunted locations. Parking wasnt always the easiest but we figured it out. A lot of women walking around dressed as the Sanderson Sisters, which is why we decided not to. Our costumes where quick simple. We couldnt pack a whole lot, so it was small stuff. Bodyauits with cat ears and tails... no not buttplug tails, and yes some drunk ass asked us... I also brought some wolf ears and tail. The tail is on a little belt if your wondering.  I wore jeans with mine because it does get quite cold at night, booze helps a little.

Anyways. It was a fantastic trip, we did split the trips in half by spending the night in Eerie Pennsylvania so it wasnt 18 hours straight through even though we could have with three of us taking turns driving. Better safe than sorry.

Glad I'm back home though  :emot_kiss:

Wow! Quite the trip Shiela. Good report. Glad you took the time to see  Niagara. Wife and I went out there over 35 years ago, before we were married. It was our first long trip after we got together.

Salem sounded interesting and on Halloween yet. A well planned trip. Sounds like it was a mix of history and touristy.stuff. Glad you gals got on the fun with your.tails. :D.

Thanks for the report.
