Finding out the IIHF (International Ice Hockey Federation) has banned all Russian and Belorussian teams from competing in any of this year's international competition.

Finding out that FIFA, after a totally neutered response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, has disqualified Russia from World Cup qualifying and any other FIFA sanctioned competition.

I am very happy to see the international community respond the way it has to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Because of my background, I've been saying that Putin could not be trusted. In fact I trust him as far as I can throw and T-34 tank.

Even the Swiss have foregone their neutrality and joined in sanctioning Putin and his cronies. I wouldn't be surprised if someone doesn't put a bullet in his head.

I was saying to Dan that that is what needs to happen.  If VP gets backed into a corner, he might do something crazy - like push the big red button.  His close inner circle needs to react before that happens.

What made my day was a CD dropping into my letter box. I’d completely forgotten that I’d pre-ordered it several months ago.

The CD is Two Piece Puzzle by British artist Rosalie Cunningham. I’m ripping it to FLAC as I type. Yay!

I was thinking about him then other day. Taking so much not to send him a quick email. Fairly certain that would be a bad idea though.

The last two days have been filled with some family fun. Spent most of the day Wednesday with my sister, just hanging out, talking, watching movies, and drinking wine. She is so very much in love with her buea, and I couldnt be happier for her. He is a really good guy and is treating her so well. I know I'm not much of a wine drinker, but she loves doing it because as she says, makes her feel mature and sophisticated, even though she's in her 30s.

Yesterday my brother, sister, and I all went to Appleton and hit up some stores, and even went out for some fondue. We haven't had a day like that since before covid. With my working weekends, it's rare that we would all have the same day off, but Jason had a weeks Vacation, and Jen didnt have much work to do, and had most of the day off. Thursday is my scheduled day, so we made the best of it and went out and had some fun. Plus he was pretty happy to get away from the kids.

My brother Jason has been married for a while. Has three kiddos. My cousin Jake is engaged to be married this summer. Same as my friend Shannon.
